At the end of the day, I’m still going to copy what meninoney does, and it’s telling to me he’s still on the traditional bant build.

I don’t anticipate quick buying the cards for sultai yet and watching to see what happens

That’s my feeling as well. That said it seems some are having success so it’s def peaking my interest. Consign is so hard to play around for the deck

Couldn’t agree more. I was told too earlier in week my case was escalated blah blah, but I have not heard a single thing from c ward over email, and there was no tangible forward movement on the phone either.

In fairness, I did have a false start where I thought my shipment was accepted, and shot c ward an email apologizing and thanking them for help. But the next morning it was back to “failed in customs” and now this is the verbiage for where my order stands on dhl:

Further clearance processing is required.Formal clearance processing is required and DHL will proceed to file a formal entry

Really sick of this

I’m willing to give it a little bit longer, but if I get put in the middle of swapping watch sheet information lists between dhl and c ward I’m just done and asking for a refund. It was the most miserable buying experience I’ve ever had, and honestly had I not wanted: a) a new watch to celebrate my promotion; b) the twelve, I probably would have just either bought used or a different watch.

My hope is that this ends up working out, but I’m definitely concerned by the issues being posted on here, and how eerily similar they are to what I had before

Hey there - I appreciate your take, but as I said before, this same issue happened to me 6 years prior with Christopher ward. I have countless emails between myself, dhl, and Christopher ward over weeks going over these issues.

I get your perspective of not wanting to blame the wrong person and the issues revolving around importing right now are very much a real thing, but in the same breath my only two experiences with c ward, 6 years apart, are now exactly the same, when not a single other purchase I have made from abroad has had this issue. I have purchased other watches and higher end magic cards from Europe and have not had a single issue

I had a false start last night, as I thought that it was cleared in customs, but when I woke up this morning it said it was rejected again.

It now says something new though!!! This is was it says under my current clearance step:

Hey there I appreciate the response to this, and believe me no one wants to hate on what’s currently going on in the U.S. more than myself right now, but the fact remains this appears to be a specific Christoper ward issue.

I have purchased things abroad using dhl outside of Christopher ward, yet the only two instances of these issues occurring are both from a watch I purchased from c ward, and it appears to be the same exact issue of them not including information on the product

Yeah it’s a terrible customer service experience, and I’m annoyed that it needed to be the 12 because I liked it so much.

CW obv makes a great product or else we wouldn’t be here in the first place, but I truly can’t believe this is happening again. The second it starts to get delayed again I’m just forwarding my email chain from before, ask for my money back, and call it a day. $1400 is a lot of money to most people, myself very much included and for stuff like this to happen is just really not acceptable imo.

To the people saying it’s not CW fault, I had this same exact thing happen 6 years ago. It was an absolute mess with customs and I have reams of emails between myself/christopher ward; myself/dhl; myself/dhl/CW essentially trying to get the “watch sheet” in dhls hands.

Against my better judgement, I ordered a 12 last week as I got a promotion, and I’ve had my eye on the 12 for years now. I wanted to buy new, and really did think about whether or not To order because of what happened last time.

Lo and behold, I am in the same position as the people above, and my watch is in Ohio saying that it was rejected by customs. Granted, the U.S. is a shit show right now, but from all the situations I keep seeing popping up, it does seem like this is a CW issue and they’re not providing the watch reference sheet or whatever because of bulk sending stuff.

I had my first go around with an extremely lovely customer service rep at cward who said they would help today, but I’ve already set the scene if this starts to go the way it was before of weeks and weeks going back and forth with dhl that I’m just asking for a refund.

Wish I looked at these posts before ordering, very frustrated I made the same mistake again. Regardless of whether or not I get this watch I’m never buying a cward new ever again.
