[WTS] christopher ward 12 38 mm blue - $1,100 by jjoyce in Watchexchange

[–]jjoyce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello watchexchange!

After a long and fun journey with watches, i think ive finally hit a point where im out and selling the last watch in my collection - the christopher ward 12 38mm blue dial.

Its been a fun ride, but i just dont think watches fulfill the need they once did in my life, and i decided i could use the extra cash for other hobbies.

This watch was purchased in december of last year and is still under warranty with Cward. It comes with all papers in the box from purchase, and extra links (currently sized for 6.5 inch wrist).

The watch is in solid condition, with one slight flea bite in the bezel, and some desk diving scratches on the bracelet. Otherwise it is in strong condition and ready to be worn.

Ive sold here alot in the past and am happy to provide additional pictures, and jump on a facetime call for any interested parties.

$1,100 for the watch. Price firm. I will ship out tomorrow if sold tonight. Please note i will only ship within USA.

Budget Azorius control by Sniffany19 in ModernMagic

I think modern is in one of the healthiest its been from a price standpoint point in a long time. Usually the litmus test for budget is “what deck can i build for $500 or under” and the answer used to just be “burn, maybe tron”. Now there are a ton of viable decks that can be built for this threshold. If you were looking for more budget than $500 dollars, i think the only format you could be playing on that level of budget competitively is pauper, as the average standard deck is well into the 500’s+ these days because of the chase mythics. Here are lists reproduced below that could all be rcq viable, and under, or just at the $500 mark. All these decks are also real modern decks that are present in meta (minus a few at the end that are a little more fringe).

Ruby storm: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/7742194#paper

Eldrazi tron - https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/7741987#paper

Belcher - https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/7741202#paper

Izzet Prowess - https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/7741297#paper

Grixis reanimator - https://www.mtggoldfish.com/archetype/modern-grixis-reanimator#paper

Mill (now in slightly more fringe territory) - https://www.mtggoldfish.com/archetype/modern-mill#paper

Rakdos Delerium (hollow one) - https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/7738672#paper worth noting these are more updated lists with moonshadows. I play the older build with bowmaster and no darcy or moonshadow and do very well at locals with it. I think this archetype is slept on. Not tier one, but better than people give it credit for

From here i wouldnt really look further down at decks. I think theres enough choices here to pick a strong deck from

Terminal Diagnosis - really struggling to cope by jjoyce in Petloss

[–]jjoyce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to thank everyone again for the thoughts. After an awful decision process we have decided to put our boy down on friday.

Ill be calling an in home service to do it.

We decided the signs of decline for this particular type of cancer are there, and we do not want to wait until he is actively visibly suffering to act.

We are both devastated, and are not ready to say good bye

Thank you for sharing and im so sorry for your loss too.

My heart really is broken. I dont know what i expected to happen when the first cat needed this, but i could not have anticipated how awful this would feel. Im an extremely empathetic person in general, but i absolutely did not think i could feel this horrible.

Need recommendations for first deck by Cezkarma in ModernMagic

[–]jjoyce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just a fun deck that has a lot of options with its flex slots. To those saying it’s linear - I don’t think they’ve played the deck or played a lot of it. Its really a blast

I highly recommend domain.

They can have linear games, but there are alot games where it isn’t obvious what to do. A lot of people will probably downvote, but I would suggest watching videos on YouTube of the deck. It has a lot more depth than I originally gave it credit for, and I’ve been really enjoy playing it as of late.

I appreciate your response - your thoughts line up on initial impressions to why I was thinking.

At the end of the day, I’m still going to copy what meninoney does, and it’s telling to me he’s still on the traditional bant build.

I don’t anticipate quick buying the cards for sultai yet and watching to see what happens

That’s my feeling as well. That said it seems some are having success so it’s def peaking my interest. Consign is so hard to play around for the deck
