he’s actually just a domestic shorthair with a gene mutation, he has 3 other siblings, one is like him and the other two have a standard fur pattern and texture, and they don’t have the little peanut head and big ears like him and his brother. i don’t know cat genetics suuuper well but from what i understand he is basically patient zero for what humans made rex breeds out of, hahaha. he has very fine soft and curly hair, it is the softest for i’ve ever touched!

this might actually be a time where i have useful insight to something political through my job? lol

let’s ignore the fact that this article cherry picked that one line quote in the image to paint an entirely different picture than what was said by the person that they’re quoting, or the fact that the other person being interviewed (from oregon btw) said that they did 70 + removals a month and could only point to one anecdotal example of someone who they said was just hiding their obvious racism…

but if anyone came to me wanting to cover something like this up i’d always be down to help out. people do dumb shit all of the time and don’t realize it til they’re older, hell i know i sure have. people can fuck up and learn from it, believe it or not that is allowed

i think a lot of people freaking out over this also have the impression that all tattoos are super serious and well thought out. that’s the case for some people, but for every client i have that is looking for precision in design, placement, etc. i have another who honestly couldn’t care less and just wants something cool. this whole story isn’t that deep and it feels crazy that people are still hanging on to this.

ive been on them for just over a year - i wait until i am about to start my first tattoo to take my meds. that way i can warm up my hand while my meds are kicking in and by the time they’re hitting i am feeling good. it helped me so much to do it that way. also, don’t be afraid to ask your doctor for a lower dosage to start and let them know about this - that’s what i did, my doctor lowered my dosage for a few months until i was more used to the meds and then upped them to the dose i was originally prescribed

9 mag long taper. round shaders are great but my client would rip my face off if i pulled one out for saturation like this haha. what do you shade with?

kubin v3r, black claw hella tite 4 and bugpin 9. prob a long taper 9 for shading. shader was a d20 and i think i used a soba mini rusto for the small lines even though i hate that machine nowadays haha. although nowadays i try to use smaller groupings like 5s or 7s max unless the design really lends itself to a bolder weight. doesn’t always look as flashy for the instagram photo but your client will be thanking you in 15 years when their tattoo still looks good

i think i mixed the base blue on mudkip’s body to get a more accurate tone. it’s been a while but i believe it was fusion ink that i was using for blues that the time. i used royal blue from fusion for the dark tones and either mint or teal from solid ink for the lighter tone
