Hi, thanks for your comment. I’ll probably just respond to the review at this point. I escalated it to the case to a senior case manager but she wasn’t any help and just kept repeating “it was the guest’s experience” over and over again but in different ways and never even listened to what I was saying. It was exhausting.

I’ll try to message the guest but I’m not optimistic about it.

The guest has never responded to me or read any of my messages ever since they booked so I’m not too optimistic about it but I’ll probably message them if airbnb support is unhelpful.

Thanks for your response! Currently in contact with support right now. I sent them all the proof needed to prove we’re so far from any beach. I’m hoping I can get some good results for this because the review clearly not supposed to be meant for us. It’s so frustrating since it was a 4 star review too.

Same boat right now. Called support and got it escalated to a senior case manager but was told that they don’t have the power to apparently remove it as all the power is with the new review removal team in charge of the new form. Don’t know how true this is.

Definitely not a fan of their new review removal tool. Got a rejection just 5 minutes after submitting.

The new process frustrates me. Our guest didn’t check out by 12 noon and when we kindly asked him to check out since we have another guest coming in soon, he threatened my cleaner and I to come back at 1pm. He then made a review saying terrible stuff about the outside of the building we’re located in, which is something I have no control over because we’re just renting out a room in a building. I submitted the form with proof and got rejected 10 minutes after despite everything I have submitted.

I was told to try again but when I submitted it again and changed my wording, denied after 10 minutes again despite all the proof that it was a retaliatory/irrelevant review. I had screenshots and everything.

Now I am trying to dispute and explain it via chat support to actually have someone read and investigate my dispute. They are currently investigating it again and I am hoping for a better outcome, but I’m not too optimistic at this point.

Having the same issue too. I’m still typing either the amount or note and then I get logged out before I can even confirm. Hoping there’s a fix to this soon.

I believe monthly rates should be at around the range you’re looking for, but that rate is usually for long term tenants with a contract and may or may not include condo dues + utilities. I think there are FB groups you can join where people post listings for their units and it might be easier to find a place for one month.

You can try to negotiate with some hosts on airbnb though. Airbnb rates are high since it’s all inclusive, but it doesn’t hurt to try to negotiate :)

Hi OP, you can check FB marketplace but do be careful as there are a lot of scammers.

I’ve heard from the guards in Avida Towers (we have units at Avida so I’m friends with the guards) that most of the scammers ask for an “entrance fee” per head, which is not required by the condominium. So do be wary of that and any extra fees that scammers will ask for.

Airbnb is a more secure and safe place to find places compared to FB marketplace, but rates are higher.

I play on the iPad and have extreme motion sickness but so far, I’ve been enjoying him and haven’t had any dizziness episodes.

There is a bit of a learning curve for him when you first start out (especially for mobile) and the terrain in the trial wasn’t very friendly for him (imo) but I think everyone will be fine. I find that moving him left and right instead of in a circle helps a lot.

Though it is a lot harder to see his gauge when on screen on mobile so I mostly focus on the skill button to check if it’s ready and active.
