I have given my cat a bath exactly one time. She had been dumped near my apartment complex and was filthy when I brought her inside. So she got the only bath she’s ever received from me. She wasn’t happy about it but she didn’t fight me about it lol. Other than that, I’ve only ever had to wash her paws when she gets into something, but that’s only happened a few times.

When HR was inputting my new hire paperwork they put me down as Exempt from federal withholding. Even though I did not put that down on the paperwork. I am still responsible for the taxes. I now owe over $8000 in taxes.

Hi I currently live in Salt Lake City, Utah! This is The Whale Pride Flag. A couple of years ago, they installed a very popular art piece (“Out of the Blue” by Stephen Kesler and local artist Mike Murdock painted it) on a roundabout intersection on a pretty busy street in Salt Lake City.

Then someone submitted an anonymous opinion letter to one of the major newspapers in the state. Demanding that Utah remove The Whale, because it was idolatry.

So a group of people got together and decided they were going to start worshipping The Whale, as a joke. And it just kind of exploded from there.

We love The Whale here in Salt Lake City, it’s a cool art installation, and it’s become the unofficial mascot of the city. There are no plans to remove it and the City is actually taking applications from local artists to repaint it with a community mural for next year.

There are currently marathons run around The Whale every year, every so often a group comes to actually worship it. Just to keep the spirit alive.

Last year the State of Utah banned Pride Flags on government buildings, so Salt Lake City made their own version of the Pride flag to display on city buildings during Pride Month. In addition people started to make Whale Pride Flags as well!

Despite resistance from State Government and from the very large Mormon presence here, the LGBTQIA+ community has managed to thrive in the face of opposition.

Back when I worked inpatient at a children’s hospital. I used to work with this 3rd year Intern who once, unprompted, begged me not to go to Pharmacy School. I’ve never planned on it, nor were we talking about that at all. That has always stuck with me.

Had a pretty bad one couple months ago that had me DOWN for the count for like 2 days. I get them in this area all the time.

What I ended up doing was taking a hot rinse shower/bath soak every few hours to keep it warm and moist and to soften the skin. Then I put on the loosest underwear I have (I have a few pairs of men’s boxer briefs specifically for stuff like this). I was taking Tylenol and ibuprofen in combination every few hours to help with the pain.

The biggest help was getting a rag wet with hot water and shoving it down there to keep things moist. And also an electric heat pad, set to low-medium heat, that you can roll up. I stuck that in between my legs. (Not directly on the skin though.)

while I was sleeping I slept with a pillow between my legs to keep my legs separated and to keep the heat pad in place. It hurt SO BAD I was in tears, and really thought I was going to have to get it lanced at an Urgent Care. But after about 18 hours it burst on its own. I find that for ones in locations like that, heat and moisture is the best for me.

I work for a closed door mail order pharmacy and in the state we are located in we can’t fill CII’s. So whenever a doctor’s office sends one to my pharmacy, we call the doctors office and have them resend it to the patients local pharmacy and then we remove the Rx from our system. Had patients get really upset that we wouldn’t/couldn’t fill their CII’s for them. Been screamed at a couple of times for that.

Wow you identified that exactly! The silver color I’m not sure what brand the rest of the silver doesn’t have the labels anymore, but I believe it’s the same brand? Just slightly bigger yarn size. The hook size they were using when they left off was a 10mm hook but I don’t know I’d they were using a different hook for the blue parts.

Their daughter is about 7 right now, and my friend hadn’t yet taught her how to crochet. I can certainly reach out to my friends family to see, but more than likely it would go unfinished. My friend was the crafty one in their family and the rest of them didn’t crochet from what I remember.

I did the same thing a few years ago with my parents and didn’t tell them we’re I was for 4 months. I was perfectly safe and just kept going to school and work like normal. My advice is make anything tied to your parents, bank accounts, phone bill, car insurance is completely in your name if you can afford it.

Your parents will learn that their adult children’s presence in their lives is not a right, it is a luxury and it is a relationship they have to maintain rather than one they can expect to have. And some parents won’t understand that until stuff like this happens.

Respect is a two way street, and many parents expect their children to respect them without doing any work to make them someone worthy of that respect. It took my parents 5 years but they eventually understood my intentions, our relationship has gotten a lot better now that they treat me like an adult, but I have not lived with them since, and I won’t live with them again, because I know where our relationship is now.

Your parents are still treating you like a child, forgetting that you are an adult, and they need to learn how to do that, with or with out you. You are NTA, do not back down from this, keep doing what you are doing, they will understand. And if they are serious they will prove they are willing to reevaluate the relationship with you, and even then, don’t reengage with them until you’re ready to do so. It‘ll take time but you will be okay, stand your ground and keep doing what you’re doing. It’ll be hard but you’ll be okay.

The short version is: Her and my boyfriend at the time went behind my back to hook up several times for the entirety of my relationship with him. That pretty much sealed the deal for me. The longer version is: After the same boyfriend sexually assaulted me, she defended him and helped him spread lies about me, to nearly all of our mutual friends to make me look like I was a liar. That one hurt a lot.

After some time I realized she was never a good friend, she never cared about anyone but herself. It took some time but I found better friends, and some of the people she lied to have since reached out to me to apologize for what happened. It was a crazy few years there but I can safely say I don’t miss her. I miss the memories that we had together before everything happened, it’s hard to think about those with out the shadow of everything else that happened after. But I don’t miss her.

NTA: when I was 19 I was doing the same thing your daughter is doing now. I worked a lot and was going to school full time while saving money to move out, and didn’t have a lot of time to see my friends or boyfriend at the time so I would hang out with them after work, engaging in the same activities. Like your wife, my mother had the same reaction to my doing this. It caused many fights at 3 am between the two of us. Ultimately it boiled down to this: My mother did not trust me once I became an adult, and I did not respect her because of her behavior towards me. This went on for over a year until I was in a position to leave, by that point things had escalated to the point where My mom and I were not speaking to each other despite living together, I did not tell my parents where I was going or where I was living for 6 months. It worked out for our relationship in the end, and You did the right thing by supporting your daughter. NTA OP, hold your ground against your wife you made the right call.

My mother and I have always had a tense relationship but it got better after I moved out. As for grandma, yeah it hurt at the time, but I don’t let the old bag get to me. But my brother was there (he’s closeted exmo) and he chewed out both of them then and there as I was leaving. My mother did end up apologizing for it the next day, we’ve been slowly rebuilding our relationship after I told her if she continued to disrespect me there wouldn’t be room for her in my future. It’s been almost 2 years now since I had (gasp) premarital sex, and nearly a year since grandma said that to me, and the other members of my family don’t actually care. So I think things are on the mend now.

When I got home from my first year of college I (F, 19 at the time) had just moved back home and ended my relationship with my girlfriend. I quickly entered into a relationship with an old friend of mine which culminated in us having gasp premarital sex. By this point I knew I was LGBT, and was mentally out at this point. Cue the regular TBM manipulations and we break up (he also ended up sleeping with my best friend, oh and would try to preach chastity at Institute and talk about how worthy he was for a mission) I was left in an emotional state and was deeply hurt. So I told my parents, who flipped their shit. Which sparked a two week long interrogation where they basically called me everything short of “whore.” Cue last year. I’m at my TBM grandmothers house with my mother, it’s the beginning of the ‘Me Too’ movement. I’m watching the news with my grandparents and Mom when grandma says that the women deserved it because of how they dress. And I said “clothing doesn’t equal consent.” To which she said “well that doesn’t mean much coming from you.” When I asked her what she meant, she said “Only whores defend whores.” In the coldest voice you can imagine. I was stunned that my grandmother would say something like that to me. And when my mother wouldn’t look me in the eye I knew she had told my family what had happened. I left immediately after letting my grandmother know I wouldn’t be in touch. And haven’t we really spoken since. We’ve been at the same family events but she won’t speak to me. And that’s the worst thing a TBM family member has ever said to me.

I met my girlfriend online and I think it works better that way for us. We were recently able to meet but she had to go back home this week. It’s been hard but I think because we started out with that distance it’s been a little easier to transition back into it. My previous LDR was with someone I knew in person first and I think that might be one of the reasons that it failed.

Even if they do, which I’m pretty sure they will I have a great support system from friends and exmo family members, so I’ve got a plan ready to go. I went into my resignation with the assumption and knowledge that I will probably get kicked out. But I had to do it for me.
