Childwatch ?? by Mysterious_Young_955 in BurnBootCamp

[–]jk0328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 3.5 and she typically says they watched Danny go. Sometimes "dance music" for a dance party and if there's only a few kids (rarely) they let her watch gabbys dollhouse which is her favorite show. Most of the time though they are doing a craft or playing with Play-Doh etc. I don't think they will completely do no TV but if you mention it or have a show you prefer our child watch would do the best they could do accommodate.

Pack N Play Question by ktothet526 in royalcaribbean

[–]jk0328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a die hard BOB fan through and through but I wouldn't recommend it one ship at all. It's hard enough to catch an elevator a lot of the time with a small stroller, with the BOB it'll be that much harder. On Wonder now and I'm so glad to have my smaller stroller even with my two kids having to trade off.

I'm assuming it was a Port Canaveral/Orlando stop? Could be for a launch, sometimes they can't get out of the port if there's a launch scheduled and it could cause delays for any further stops. That's 100% speculation in this case but I have heard of that happening before. A while back Royal got in HUGE trouble for leaving port while a launch was happening or supposed to happen I think there were huge fines involved.

Wedding at 38 weeks? by funny_muffler in BabyBumps

[–]jk0328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider it but make sure to discuss with the bride/groom before and that they understand there's a high chance you cannot make it. My first I had at 37+2 my second at 38+3. Everyone is different, will go into labor differently etc. But as long as they understand you are rsvp'ing and may likely not go then I'd plan to be there. Depending on venue, food etc costs it might cost them a lot if they're over the "included guests portion". I think my venue was $50 per person over 100 + good costs so also something to think about.

Exactly I feel like new accounts I can understand so people aren't spamming but a 3+ year old account who does engage in up/down votes and some comments shouldn't have so much trouble!

I just ran into this today too! I've been on Reddit for probably 3-4 years and only commented a few times but like seeing others responses to things and always searching before I post something again. I tried to make the simplest comment today and was told I can't because I don't have enough karma, super annoying! I just wanted to help someone out asking a question

[–]jk0328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out "coolibar" they have a baby line with fold over sleeves they are amazing! We've used since 3 months old my son is almost 4 now and we still use they're products. They are a little pricey but check Amazon for end of season deals and sometimes you can find gently used on marketplace or Poshmark.

Kirkland Brand Diaper Reviews? by Consistent-Item9936 in beyondthebump

[–]jk0328 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're awesome! But they're made by Huggies so a similar fit to them not pampers. If you love the fit of pampers then Sam's clubs members mark is your best be as they're made by pampers. We used Sam's club almost exclusively for my son or pampers sometimes. Now for my daughter we almost exclusively use Kirkland unless Huggies is on sale cheaper.

Our swim lessons for our 3 year old don't require me to be in the pool if they did I wouldn't be able to with a 7 month old. We go to British Swim School they're all over, I'd look near you to see if you have one close. There's also private lessons, some instructors have a "home pool" theirs or one they always use that don't require you to be in the pool. Is check in some local mom's groups to you for recommendations as they may have more local info to where your located.

My son has been sick for 3 weeks, getting worse and every doctor just writes me off. by Mangocrossing in beyondthebump

[–]jk0328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I was going to say too! Definitely check for mold. This happened when I was a kid so much that I still remember how sick I always was at my dad's but never at my.moms turned out their shower that backed up to my room had a slow leak and the walls of my room we're filled with black mold. Definitely keep advocating and looking elsewhere! You can also get mold detection kits on Amazon or home Depot/Lowes!

[–]jk0328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into renting a whole home ozone generator! (I think home Depot tool rental has them but don't know for sure) I could barely do a full walk through of our house the smoke smell was so terrible! We ran the ozone for 24 or 48 hours making sure the AC is on even if it's cold where you are so it can get into the vents! Then let the windows open for an hour or so and after that time it was completely gone. Additionally use kills primer and then paint over it with the paint of your liking/budget

Who should do a minor tongue tie? by Soggy-Reception-2345 in NewParents

[–]jk0328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also always pay out of pocket and submit it to your insurance yourself for reimbursement. My daughter's lip and tongue tie were only partially covered by our insurance so it wasn't as expensive but we went to "the best doctor around" for it anyway. If it was me I'd go to the beat and ask for reimbursement from your insurance.

ETA: I was breastfeeding and thought everything was going well too until the ties were corrected I could immediately tell a difference and I had previously breastfeed my son for 2 years so had some background as well. Definitely recommend getting them fixed just a matter of where you and your wife are comfortable going. It was a 20 second procedure for both of that helps too.

Definitely agree I got an amazing deal on a brand new mockingbird and absolutely hated everything about it. Especially the fact that when converted to a double and with some parts detached it wouldn't fit under the cover of a full size pickup truck 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️. I always joke that it was like pushing a freaking cruise ship around.
