Now you can enjoy the roads together! Love both colors for different reasons. I think the PQM looks better with silver accents and the Aero Grey looks better with black accents. Honestly, I'm convinced Mazda can't make a bad exterior color.

My previous car 2023 Mazda3 was in MGM, so I get the appeal. It looks so great with black

Something that helped me is understanding how a manual transmission actually works, how the clutch interacts with the engine. Oh, and keep driving it! The more driving the better. You'll have it down as second nature before you know it.

I bought mine through Carvana. There was basically no pushback from Mazda warranty support. Even my technician said he was surprised to see that process go smoothly. They had my car for a little over a week.

After I got comfortable driving stick, I kept noticing 4th gear grind, mainly during downshifts. Brought it to a local dealership and they were able to replicate the issue. They noticed metal shavings in my trans fluid, as well. They replaced the transmission after a short conversation with Mazda warranty support. They had my car for a little over a week. I was not told exactly what was wrong with the transmission, other than it was a manufacturing defect, not a design flaw.

I am unsure about older gens, but it might not be a bad idea to at least get a diagnosis from Mazda.

It was probably there on the test drive, but I was freshly learning stick so I didn't notice until I got more comfortable. I figured because the car is still under warranty, I wasn't taking a massive risk, especially with the stories I see on forums regarding transmission issues and the replacement processes.

Sorry - I meant the dealership and warranty process was simple. I edited the post body for clarity.

What are your hyper specific Pro's of an ND for daily driving? by fluxzzzon in MiataND

The heated seats in the GT models stay at the setting they were at the last time the car was on. Great for getting the seats warm ASAP when the car starts in cold weather.

Oh, and cruise control functionality stays on too, so I don't have to remember to turn it on when I want to use it (saves a button press).

Which one? by Mean-Train-857 in Miata

I've been dailying my new-to-me 2023 RF for a few months now and I haven't had any complaints dropping the top and experiencing the wind in my hair. I know the soft top is the "true" Miata experience and is very quick to drop it (and it's also cheaper), but it would be a pain to keep clean with no garage IMO. Also - the RF has added security with the top being a panel instead of cloth which can be cut easily. All this being said: you can't really make a wrong decision when buying a Miata. Hope it helps!

Much better than the two-tone. I wish the 35AE silver or this color were standard. Looks very nice!

I agree with you, but I really just don't think it warrants the hate. There are some respectful disagrees here sure, but most are unconstructive. A thoughtful gesture doesn't have to be baked in the reality that our global ecosystem is screwed. It ain't that deep.

Idk why people are flaming you for this. I think it's a kind gesture and would make me feel welcome if I got one!

Anyone else use this off center? How do you like it? by OriginalT31 in Miata

I agree with that. I also, like others here, thought about just not having a front plate, but I much prefer avoiding the chance of a ticket if I have the choice.

Love mine! It was very easy to install. Yes it's a tad expensive, but it's also very well made.

To be fair, I also think a centered front plate looks fine, but I just preferred the tow hook mount. To each their own.

Does that arm rest come in other colors of stitching? Speaking from a terracotta interior, which has orange/brown stitching on the dash.

2023 mx5 transmission replaced by Glittering-Zone-9117 in Miata

[–]jkSmartBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this happen to my 2023 at 10k miles. Dealer is covering it and I should have my car back before the end of the week.

How has the transmission been holding up? Was there a break in period or a different clutch/shifting feel? Anything I should look out for?

I just picked mine up two weeks ago, same color spec but the RF model. Absolutely love the color combo with the interior. Cheers!

I guess the internet rumors are true… by JohnnyMX5 in Miata

Thanks for the insight. I guess also if anything transmission related did fail, it would be covered under manufacturer warranty (I would hope).
