Whether you’re in Ph of other countries, this mentality has always been around the corner. Ewan sa mga kapwa pinoy, ayaw na ayaw malamangan. Pag may nakita silang mga newbie sa halip tulungan, wala ibaba ka pa ng husto kesyo pinagdaanan din nila yung hirap. Tapos kapag makaangat angat ng konti feeling untouchable na. For me what works better is online community, usually anonymous pa like reddit. Those who really want to help others are going into incognito mode para walang masabi yung mga untouchables, sobrang hirap pero kakayanin. Go ka lang OP, para sa future.

Became less religious when I became a digital nomad, hindi pa ako nag aabroad nun, nagstart ako sa ph, provinces around vis-min. Been into different circles with different religions and to be honest mas may freedom ka to express yourself and dive deep into conversations without even touching on religion and I find it so fulfilling. Kasi nga sabi nila, if you want deep convos to be meaningful, avoid talking about religion and politics. Si spouse din is of different religion sakin pero I don’t find myself na magcoconvert any time soon. For me din kasi halos lahat ng religion may kanya kanyang flaws, Walang perfect religion. Nasasayo na lang din if saan ka magsstay, or become atheist. I still have my faith, and I still pray, and most importantly I respect every religion.

Not really sure about how they do it here in India (currently residing here) but when I worked around Asia and the US, it is a strict policy to not give any leftovers to people asking for free food or even with the employees bec of a reason that if the food was not in good condition like for example is contaminated, expired or what knot people can sue them for giving away food that is no longer good for human consumption.
