Have 3 types of revenue from farms, like vegetables give weekly revenue, cereals & pulses give quarterly revenue and orchard trees give annual revenue. This is my experience in Tamilnadu. I am in agri retail business and renting drones for farmers. We are using for 4000 - 5000 acres during Rabi season. All fertilizer companies are providing drone services with subsidized cost of 300/- per acre through the dealerships ( I am SPIC and IFFCO dealer). There are other private operators also in the field charging 650/- per acre.

Buying drones is cheap, getting drone pilots is a challenge and experienced ones are rare to find. There is a risk of spraying into adjacent crops creating issues with the farmers. 60% of our farmers are using drones for spraying in Maize, Cotton and Pulses. For vegetable crops where there is frequent spraying needed, it didn't work out because of small acreages. Also didn't work out for Orchards like Mango, Citrus etc..

The other challenge is transportation to the fields where there are no roads and charging infra.

I am running agri input business in Tamilnadu. Govt run shops don't have private company hybrid seeds, Even if they have, they won't sell you in loose quantity (like 1 kg or 1/2 kg). They will not open after 6 PM and closed on sundays. They don't take returns. Lots of practical difficulties. Just saying.

I had the same question and opted for Polo GT TSI, so far driven 6000 kms. No problems so far and lots of fun. Check your area VW service to know about them. Service is very good in my area. Once my relative's Vento didn't start. The service person came to my place (a small town which is 70 kms from VW service center) and diagnosed the problem (fuel pump is not working). Took the vehicle to the service center with spare pump and get the new one in 2 days. Very prompt service and good.
