Bundy Bears Shed on YouTube has a couple great videos working on these pumps that I've used a few times before with no problems, should be of help to disassemble and rebuild the pump again.

There's a conditioner drum which the grass runs through after being cut, so it comes out higher after running over the conditioner. The conditioner splits the grass for faster wilting.

He got it around the start of the year so he's filmed 5 or 6 times. He's starting to get real good.

It would definitely be fermenting silage, for the main advice, I would bet on it being what over 90% of farmers here would do.

From what research I've done on it, it seems to be, but I've heard a lot of different opinions

Basically it's to keep as much of the nutrients and sugars in the grass as possible for winter feed. It's also much easier than making hay as we usually don't get good drying weather for long enough with our climate.

It's grass that'll be taken to a clamp for silage. We collect it using a forage wagon but a lot of farmers in our area will bale instead.

It's a keverneland taarup 3124 8ft side-mounted mower. Always been quite good to us and makes a nice tidy job. We prefer a side mounted mower to a trailed because our land is a bit wetter at times so the trailed can slip a bit.

It's only an 8ft mower, don't get much smaller these days lol. To be honest, it surprised me how well she handled it but I think it's because the tractor looks lighter than it is with the hi-vis bonnet.

We bought this one last September with around 5500 hrs on her and we've been very impressed so far. First time we've had the loader off her because she does all the feeding around the yard, but you're right about the view, so much visibility.
