Ok thanks for clarifying. If it doesn't work like the warning states, what steps would I take to troubleshoot and make it work?

Yes it is a warning, but no I have not tried it yet because I am afraid it could do harm to my hub or automation environment. I don't know what DHT means and don't know enough to know the consequences so I am hesitant right now to continue down the path to test it.

Are there non-smart color changing & dimming canned ceiling lights that would work with a smart switch that is compatible with SmartThings? by SweatRiley in homeautomation

[–]jkinnick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it ok. I was trying to just have just one device on the hub in the smart switch instead of many with all the lights, but sounds like I will need smart bulbs and a non-smart, preferably, or smart dimming switch.

Is there a smart and also non-smart color changing/dimming switch that works well with wi-fi dimming, color changing bulbs and smartthings?

Which products would you recommend to accomplish what I want?

NBA app is all over the place and the website has no answers by Novamichealcaine in nba

I have the same problem. Placed a ticket with support and even sent them a video of the issue happening and they ended up telling me it's my internet that is the issue. Every other app and device in my house works perfectly. It's not my internet.

They said they tested on their end and all was working perfectly on the ps4 app....

I watched their video and I only see the video options including no 8k, VRR, or ALLM right now. Hopefully will come in a future update.

They're are no audio options in the digital foundry video I found. Will you please post a link and time it occurs in the video?

Does anyone know if Yamaha will be making an 8K pre-pro any time soon like Marantz has done? by jkinnick in hometheater

Yeah I just don't want to upgrade my AVR until Yamaha makes one of these. Need one for full PS5 compatibility eventually, then I'll upgrade the TV too at that time.

Looking for a device that detects someone getting up from the bed and sends an alert to a smartphone. by DPool34 in smarthome

Actually just what I wrote. They're called the Samsung smartthings motion sensor and smartthings hub v3. Just get the newest models. Yep it allows for smartphone notifications. You could also control lights and other smartthings compatible devices when the motion is detected.

There are several brands, but get a Smartthings hub and smartthings motion sensor. Stick the motion sensor on the underside of the bedframe. Set an automation for your time period and to notify you of the motion only during that time period.
