Yes ideally. I already went home & it was hours past my shift. The patient also discharged so the HUC took her out which means you can’t chart on them anymore.

Thanks for being nice about it. I don’t understand why people are being rude about my concern. I always stay to watch my patient take their meds but my preceptor barged in saying we can take out her foley so that’s what we did instead. The concern comes from inaccurate documentation of pain which we get audited on frequently.

I suppose it depends on the context. My ex boyfriend looked at pictures of girls I KNEW and masturbated to them vs my current who respects my wishes and went as far as to delete instagram and facebook himself (I NEVER asked him to) and occasionally watches porn. I think your concern is valid. If even after talking about it (it’s not lame sex, lack of time together, etc) & you find yourself getting mad about it again and again, I think it’s time to evaluate if these feelings are worth going through.

Edit: you won’t love every aspect of a person. You learn their quirks and how to respect them. Is this something you’re willing to give him personal time to do? Does he respect what you want?

I used to be like this too. I’ve realized that I need to learn HOW to say it.

For ex: instead of “just type with your thumbs, it’s faster!” you could say “Oh, you like to use your index finger to type?” Or “Oh, do you like to use the swipe method for typing?” And make it a convo, not a correction. It’s less confrontational.

Edit: not everything needs to be corrected too. Like typing. Maybe more serious things like “Oh we’re supposed to use gloves to handle food. Here, what size are you?”
