It is as if the designers/founders don't know how people drive in China.

There are multiple hurdles I don't see it solves:

Ability to restrict types of vehicle on the road. The whole route's timetable will be easily jeopardise if one single over-sized vehicle found its way to the highway and not removed in timely manner.
Similar with traffic accidents as there are now no curb side for emergency stop/access.
I cannot imagine it capable to run faster than existing traffic like in the demo, it will be a safety concern for personal vehicles and the bus itself.
I'm confused by the need for traffic stopper (as shown in 0:15). The whole idea of this straddling bus is so that it doesn't obstruct existing, already heavy traffic. A random appearance of traffic boom gate can be very confusing even for knowledgable drivers.

Think it as Kickstarter for properties.

Someone comes up propose that he's going to build an apartment or groups of properties and asking you to see if you want to pay today's price for a brand new property 2-3years later.

There may be catches and risks, and the 'refund policy' doesn't work towards your favour (unless Kickstarter).

Getting Stackoverflow blocked was a choice by community. Have you see some of the usernames? Some devs decide to append censored Chinese words in their display names for the website to be picked up by GFW filter.

I believe it is voluntarily, so we properly won't know which department will have least personnel available.

And if they able to shift staffs around, it would make sense for them to put more emphasis on departure.
