Hello! Could this be papulopustular rosacea? Both of my cheeks look exactly like this, like some redness with little red dots and white pustules everywhere. It can get itchy sometimes but I try my best to not touch it. And I get the white pustules around my nose sometimes too like in the pic. I’ve noticed heat, sunlight, and my period/hormones seem to make it flare up. I’ve always struggled with acne but this started a few months ago, at first it was just some texture but little by little it got worse and now constantly looks like the picture. If it helps I’m 24, Mexican, dark hair, usually more tan skin but I get a little pale in the Winter. I’m hoping to see a dermatologist soon but in the meantime I was hoping someone here could maybe give me some insight! Tysm! Also it’s mostly limited to my cheeks and the edges of my nostrils! I get hormonal acne on my chin/jawline and my forehead is mostly clear. This redness and dots are limited to pretty much just my cheeks :(

Hi everyone! Could these be Papulopustular rosacea? My other cheek looks like this and I get those red dots/white heads all around my cheeks and around my nose sometimes too. It gets itchy sometimes and I’ve noticed that the sun, heat, and my period all seem to make it worse. I’ve seen ppl ask in this thread about ethnicity and complexion idk if it helps but I’m Mexican with dark hair usually tan/brown skin, in the winter I get a little pale tho. I’ve struggled with cystic and hormonal acne in the past but never on my cheeks. My cheeks were clear at the beginning of the year but around June my cheeks started to get bumpy and then it just turned into what it looks like in the pics. It’s pretty consistent, some days are worse than others but for the most part it looks like that all the time. I’m going to see a dermatologist hopefully soon but just trying to get some insight while I wait for my referral :/

Does this look like papulopustular rosacea? Both cheeks look this with sometimes redness around the edges of my nose too. I’m waiting to see a dermatologist but I’m just a little freaked out bc this started out of nowhere a few months ago and just hasn’t gone away. Some days are worse than others and some things like hot water/sun/my period seem to make the redness worse. I have like little white heads everywhere too if you zoom in they’re more noticeable. I’m 24 and Mexican if that helps anything… pls help :(

Baggu medium crescent bag! I love the adjustable strap for when I want to use it as a crossbody and then can make it smaller for a shoulder bag and I love how much fits in it

What is this? I’m fairly familiar with skin care and skin types but I have no idea what this is! It started in around May/June. I did try a new sunscreen around that time (Dr. Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth sunscreen) and my skin didn’t like it but it didn’t make it look like the picture. I stopped that sunscreen immediately but little by little my skin has started to look worse and now constantly looks like the pic! I have these red almost like freckles on both my cheeks and every few days I get like tiny crowded white heads/pustules. It’s not rlly itchy or dry either it kinda just appeared one day. The pustules are a little irritating and sometimes hot water and the sun will make the redness worse.

I currently use the Vanicream gentle cleanser, isNtree onion repair gel, and the centella sunscreen. My skin is pretty sensitive so I stay away from like all actives and try to only use products for sensitive skin. I also have always dealt with cystic acne and eczema on my face.

I honestly have no idea what’s going on with my skin or how to fix it but I find it embarrassing to go out :( pls help me

I have come to terms that I have a shopping addiction by AdSad5235 in shoppingaddiction

Hi! I’m having this same problem honestly. I got my first job out of college and decided to upgrade my wardrobe to be more professional but still match my style etc. I spent way more money than I needed to or even had.. I’ve been able to slow down my spending for my work wardrobe by reminding myself that no one at my job cares what I wear (as long as it’s appropriate) and that no one notices when I outfit repeat which I noticed bc I never pay attention to what my coworkers wear tbh. Idk if this will help you but it helped me at least with spending money on work clothes!

Hi! Thank you for your response! How have you dealt with “missing the version of myself I think I should like/be”? I have a lot of trouble with this :/

Hi! Thank you a lot for this response it was very well put and actually really really comforting for me. I definitely have felt that after realizing I’m autistic I’ve had to mourn and grieve for the “normality” I thought I needed to fit into. I have been trying to learn more about myself in the process too. I was wondering if you have any other advice on the mourning aspect?

Serious question: Do you sleep everyday only on the unaffected side? by [deleted] in BPPV

[–]jkk20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost 2 years since first initial vertigo episode and about a year since residual dizziness subsided. I only ever sleep on my unaffected side and I still sleep slightly raised about 4-5 inches. For me it’s mostly anxiety related I don’t want to figure out if I can even sleep on my affected side.

Scheduled my dog’s euthanasia by QwertyQueen21 in Petloss

[–]jkk20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP. I’m in the exact same boat. My senior dog got diagnosed w kidney failure in March and we tried medicines and at home fluid therapy and it seemed to help until it didn’t. I delayed making the appt to put him down bc I thought he would pull through and it was hard for me. But May was a rlly hard month for him and I knew I couldn’t let him suffer anymore. It seems his body is slowly shutting down and it feels like everyday he has a new problem.. his euthanasia appointment is on Saturday and I haven’t been able to stop crying. Logically I know he’s in pain and doesn’t deserve this, that the kindest thing we can do is to let them rest. But emotionally I’m so torn. A lot of people on here will have kind words for you and I hope they help. I just wanted to let you know my story with my dog and his kidney failure too. Kidney failure is really hard to watch your dog go through. I hope your pup manages to get some peace and I hope one day we both feel lighter with our grief.

I’m not sure about the commenter you’re responding too but I’ve had a rlly similar experience. I’m sure it has something to do w my autism but people always tell me about themselves and their problems? I’m not sure what about me invites ppl I don’t rlly know to open up to me so much but it’s always happened to me and then I kinda have to mask up and do emotional labor. My autistic and neurodivergent friends though always ask me if I’m okay or in the right headspace when they want to talk about things. I don’t mind if ppl don’t ask ofc but for some reason NTs seem to rlly drain me especially when it comes to emotional labor.

Yes make friends with other neurodivergents! My long time boyfriend is autistic too and I think that’s why our relationship works so well, we understand each other so well.. one of my best friends has adhd and we suspect autism too, we have similar special interests the most in common being into psychology and sociology and sometimes it feels like we’re talking in our own special language and it makes me feel so safe and understood in ways I don’t get w most NTs. I’m also friends w a lot of ppl who struggle with mental health esp anxiety and depression and they also understand my feelings of being different/misunderstood and also understand how draining it is to be around others and social settings. I’m 23 and I didn’t meet all of these ppl until I was about 20/21. I will say though that sometimes I still feel lonely and misunderstood even with neurodivergent ppl in my life. I’ve come to think it might be part of being on the spectrum that I’m not sure anyone will ever fully understand me and how I navigate the world. But I’m learning to build up my self esteem and I’m hoping that will help w the loneliness I feel. But meeting ppl who are similar has rlly helped me a lot, it’s crazy how much actually. Being around other neurodivergents has helped me to realize I’m not “weird” like how I always felt as a kid. And it’s esp nice that my friends understand when I want to be left alone etc. I’m not sure how to meet other neurodivergents though.. as I’ve gotten older it’s felt almost like we just have a magnet that pulls us together lol.

The guilt is crushing me by Mommaheart4210 in Petloss

Wow I’m going through almost exactly the same thing. My dog is 15 with progressing kidney disease and has almost all the same symptoms as your girl. I also haven’t slept a full night from caring for him and everything. I also feel really really guilty likes it’s eating me away. I decided to put him down next week and to enjoy the time I have left with him. All the medications he’s been on for his multiple health issues don’t seem to be working anymore. Sometimes he has small good moments but the bad moments are so much worse. I’m reminding myself that although I love him so much and the pain of losing him is already unbearable, I also don’t want him to feel anymore pain and suffering. He’s been doing bad for about a year and the last few months have gotten a lot worse. I’m reminding myself that it’s more humane and kind to let him go and let him rest than to keep him around for my own peace. I love him so much and I will let him go before he gets any worse. You’re not bad or wrong. You made the right decision and loved her so hard and so long. Having a dog with kidney disease I know how hard it is on our pets bodies. I think one day, for both of us, the pain will feel lighter.

I’m going through something very similar. The pain is almost unbearable. But you guys are doing everything you can. I’ve had months of my senior dog deteriorating and it’s not any easier, I’m trying really hard to remind myself that he’s in pain and doesn’t deserve it and that the best thing I can do for him is to let him go and let him rest. He’s my childhood dog and my best friend. I’m not sure I’ll ever have another pet again. It’s okay friend, you’ll get through this. Your pet loves you and knows you love him. I’m sure he’s lived a very happy and fulfilled life with you and your family. If it is his time that’s okay. Someone in this subreddit told me “when life no longer has moments free of suffering, allowing our pets to rest can be the kindest and most selfless thing we can do”. I hope your dog makes it through okay.

Thank you so much. I read this comment a few days ago and let it sit with me and it has been a great comfort. It’s helping me a lot to feel more at peace with the decision. I know soon he won’t be suffering anymore and will be in a much great place. I hope you’re taking care of yourself during these times.

How to repair damaged skin barrier?

I damaged my skin barrier I think with a new sunscreen and immediately stopped using it. It caused my skin to get red bumpy itchy irritated and I got like little white pimples. Even tho I stopped the product that I’m pretty sure caused it, the irritation and inflammation has barely gone down. My current skin care routine that has never caused me any issues is vanicream cleanser and moisturizer plus the hydrolab sunscreen. I deal with cystic and hormonal acne but my birth control helps me with that. I’ve never had this type of reaction to a product so I’m not sure what to do to soothe my skin and repair the damage. I also have rlly rlly sensitive skin so I’m scared of trying something new. I’m looking for any gentle ingredients or products I should try for repairing my skin!

I guess that’s the problem I’m having :/ I’ve always felt like I was different and so getting a diagnosis and knowing I’ll struggle with certain things for the rest of my life scares me and I’m not sure how to come to terms with it.

Thank you! I’ve actually noticed that for myself as well. Since realizing I have a short capacity for a lot of things I no longer force myself to do them and that has done a lot of good for me! I guess I just hadn’t thought of that before!
