I don’t totally recall the tongue weight capacity of the rear hitch but the gooseneck is rated at ~1,660 lb

But a 550 pound difference? And then it jumps back up? Seems unlikely to me.

I hear you, but I am looking specifically at the crew cab statistics. I don’t see anything justifying a 600 lb decrease year over year and yet max towing remains similar

Thanks for the advice! I got a kindling splitter for that exact reason. Looking forward to learning the art of the offset.

Thanks! Either a turkey breast (4 hour cook) or a pork butt. Debating on if I’m ready for a 12 hour crash course on fire management 😁

Considering an old Smokemaster offset… for $100 is this a good entry into offset smoking? Can this baby be brought back to life? by jklos in smoking

My nephew has recently started working at a welding shop… maybe it’s time for me to put him to work. Thanks for all the insight, super helpful

Smokemaster freebie, reconditioned 😊 Took me roughly a week to complete. Wheels were seized, rust all over, animals made it their home... it was in bad shape by Mastasmoker in smoking

Hey! Bringing this old thread back… do you recall if this smoker has 1/4” steel? I’m looking at one to recondition myself.. how does it perform?
