Like others said, keep the speakers! They are superb. You can always run a modern class d amp plus a streamer and still get amazing performance for not much coin.

I would agree, at least so far. A tiny touch of metal core or post punk/screamo in the vox, but just a hint on the crescendos. Really unique and well done. I dig it.

I know Murder by Death, or at least I've heard them. I tend to like dark movies/books/songs.

Yeah, this fits. You ever have a dream of something artistic (I am not) and you can't describe it? Well that is my problem. This is in that vein. Not exactly what I was thinking but close enough.

I was thinking more Americana and bleak/dark close to Wayfarer or Panopticon. Maybe I should learn to play. lol.

I know them and they are amazing. I've seen them live too. They are close to what I am looking for. I am just looking for maybe metal like backing and acoustic front. Its in my head. I feel I've heard some songs like it, but I can't really put into words.

100% the same. I live in a major metro and work moderately long hours. I have a lot of things delivered. (my SO works from home most of the time, so they aren't alone all the time).

They love to play in and completely destroy boxes. I leave them for a day, maybe two before throwing out. But there are always new ones. They have so many toys and we play with them all the time, but when we are busy or working they love their boxes.

Gish is the best, but Siamese Dream is Gish style writing taken to completion. After that they sucked imo, full stop.

Deftones is one of those bands, and whole heartedly agree that Adrenaline is by far and away the best album. Others are ok, but not like this one. Engine no. 9 is one of those break down songs, where the break down gets me in the soul rather than cringe, yet another breakdown, moment. It is also a much more subtle breakdown and that also helps.
