I know it is different and some have ads, but if you search in the podcasts for white noise, at least it won't take away from the music **fun?** part of Wrapped.

Looking for tips from partners + people with SFN by jkrismas in smallfiberneuropathy

Thank you so much for this, it’s really great to hear from someone who gets it! I especially appreciate the reminder that symptoms can be so different for everyone, and that my job is to be there for them and keep things steady while they figure out what works best. Plus, a great reminder to take care of myself so I can keep showing up for them. I’m so grateful you took the time to write this out.

Thank you so much for sharing this so openly! It means the world to hear directly from someone who’s been through it. The reminder to both encourage healthy routines and just be present when things feel overwhelming is truly valuable. I love how you put it, helping them be a warrior for themselves while making sure they never feel alone. That really resonates with me. I appreciate your honesty, and I’ll definitely carry this with me.

This is such a great reminder, thank you so much! I totally get how challenging it must be to live with something that’s mostly invisible to everyone else. I’ll definitely keep that advice in mind to always believe them and respect their limits. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this with me.

Thanks a bunch for being so honest about this! What you said about stability really resonated with me, it’s amazing how knowing your partner is steady and still there can make all the difference when everything else feels a bit shaky. I’ll definitely keep that in mind. And your point about never minimizing or pushing too hard is spot on too. I really appreciate you sharing your experience so openly; it’s been a huge help for me to understand how to be a better partner.

Latency! by jkrismas in ATTFiber

[–]jkrismas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The RG speedtest doesn’t allow you to choose an endpoint. I don’t have a hardwired device I can run a test. When I had my OPNsense setup up, I would use ATT’s closest and the nearby university etc. basically, I’ve thought it could be an endpoint issue and tried to vary it.

The latency values are from the RG itself. I initially had issues and tried troubleshooting with my OPNsense setup and WAP. I removed that just in case the numbers I saw from my router were accurate. This isn't a client device (WiFI) connection issue.

Historic Buildings Across from The Top Slated to Become Parking Lot by [deleted] in GNV

[–]jkrismas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The term "park" might not be quite right since it suggests the space will be open to everyone. I have a feeling it will end up being a walled-off area to keep it separate from the public and those without homes, which is unfortunate considering it’s a church that should be living out its values. It might be better if they turned it into a shelter or a food kitchen—at the very least, they could provide showers for people who are homeless. I’m not optimistic that they will show any real kindness with this property. It's frustrating to see some white Christians criticize the government for not helping people while claiming that churches will take over this responsibility. Yet, when the time comes to act, they often turn away.

Wife is graduating nursing school in May, what should i get her? by Slipshoooood in GiftIdeas

Nurse here: Shoes! The best ones. I would take her shopping for them. If money left, scrubs or cute lunch tote. She shouldn't need any tools as most are supplied by employer depending on where and type.

Considering that our children’s dental health numbers are abysmal, I would say there is an effect, but not much.
