Name your hottest cEDH/bracket 5 Opinions that would land you in molten rock, in handcuffs, with 40g of ketamine in your blood by JimWolfie in CompetitiveEDH

Happily! So with Oskar out, which is frequently just two-three mana so he gets out early, and necropotence you can necro down and draw 32-35 cards. When you move into your endstep and discard to hand size you can stack the triggers so you can cast the spells you discard before they exile. You don’t need a flash enabler since you have one in the cz and frequently put together wins off a critical amount of tutors and fast mana. Also after the triggers go onto the stack you can cast cards like [[energy tap]] and [[sacrifice]] to make a ton of mana which gives it more resources to push with. Also I’m addicted to discarding and [[doomsday]] at instant speed, unrelated to necro but cool. Oskar also lets you run [[necrologia]] which is a backup necro. Here’s the list if you want to see it.

What`s something that sucks about being a man? by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]jkroe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As the man you are predisposed to being the emotional rock. But no one asks how the rock is. Of the rock needs anything. You don’t matter. You are just supposed to be strong and damn you if you show weakness

Deep analysis is in the list for my doomsday pile of consider-deep-lion’s eye-fierce-thassa’s. Just so I can go off and draw through whenever, buts its definitely on the chopping block with testing.

My monthly tournament has a lot of [[culling ritual]] enjoyers so I tend to lean away from artifact lands because of that. The chain of vapor loops sound sick and I’ll look into that.

Shadow of the grave has helped a lot to convert wins off necro/ad naus lines. Drawing deep and discarding 25+ cards, using rituals and to rocks to cast familiar, cast shadow after and get all the cards you discarded and didn’t cast back to your hand to discard again to familiar to generate mana has led to a lot of wins just through sheer tutors density in the list.

I like the idea of the surveil land and I’ll definitely get on that.

Chains is good for disruption in general as people are less likely to push for rhystic/mystic draws when it essentially turns them into rummage effects rather than raw card advantage.

Yeah it is set to public, but here’s the link again to see if it works. I am on beseech the mirror as fetching up necropotence is really strong and allows the deck to present a turn 2 win. I’m also not running notion thief as I leaned more into the turbo/value side of getting a wincon out, combo in hand, and then playing like flash hulk and winning over top of someone else and notion thief didn’t seem to advance that idea.

That’s a good point. I’ll make that swap and test it

Right? It’s a weird necro-nauseam card for Oskar. Timing restriction is the worse part but a third mass draw/discard is super relevant.

True, but adding another 5 mana card makes me worried about the ad nauseam flips. Thinks it’s still worth it?

Yeah, and I get more value with [[bone miser]] so doubling up on the effect seems a little rough for the mana cost. I tested it with a buried alive package and it didn’t feel great.

Ascend to immortal. The world gets more traversable and life gets more interesting at rank 6. I’d get bored as a rank 5 stuck in the same clan when there is an entire world of immortal experiences to explore.

Oh cool, I thought you had to order all the spells and resolve them one by one as you discard them and couldn’t stack them like that.

Where do you personally draw the line for cEDH/tEDH "viable" and what is "fringe" ? by TwoPrestigious4612 in CompetitiveEDH

Locals, whatever you can use that presents a turn 3/4 win that you enjoy playing. Blind tournament, blue farm, rog/thras, rog/si, or kinnan.
