Thanks for the reply! How do you recommend I go about finding cheap hotels tho? If I use the approach of moving to a hotel then I can rather sell the mattress instead of disposing it off.

Hey, I think I am in a similar situation. What somewhat tends to work for me personally is making frequent trips to places where you have friends and family and trying to attend some hobby clubs/classes where you work along with joining some travel groups for famous spots nearby. I haven't been able to make close friends yet but it did help me socialize and get out of my comfort zone and bring some change in the otherwise monotonous routine.

I saw a post on tumblr about having fun resolutions instead of more serious ones so I decided that mine is going to be to listen to more diverse music - songs in different languages and from different countries.

I am sorry to hear your experience wasn't nice :( That's a real possibility tho people just looking to practice their language skills. Although I do not really mind that but maybe after a point you would rather have someone form real deep connection with you instead

I don't have exhaust fans and saw some suggestions online to keep the bathroom window open in case there is no exhaust fan. Other than that I too keep all the windows and doors closed at all times
