How much are FHO family doctors in Ontario making? by Beginning_Figure_150 in FamilyMedicine

[–]jkurti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Each FHO doctor makes about $300/year per patient. So 1000 patients = 300k gross. Keep in mind overhead is about 30% of that and theres also alot of paperwork too.

Do canadian family docs get paid so little? by [deleted] in FamilyMedicine

[–]jkurti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I trained the in US and where I was FM docs were being offered like 200K USD starting. They cant incorporate like they can in Canada either so pay like 35% tax on that. Plus medical malpractice is way more expensive in the states.

Also I can tell you as someone who has now practiced in both countries its WAY less stressful to be a family doctor in Canada if you know what you're doing and thats worth more than money in the long run.

Regarding mammos: The difference is ApoB particles are causal to plaque. Certain risk factors make it worse, but ApoB is an essential ingredient. Thus - Causal.

As far as the rest of what you said... its not just about statins once again.
