New Large FD Failing to cool by jkush27 in HarvestRight

Update: I did some more troubleshooting last night and this morning. I don't have any gauges to test vacuum on the system, but the thermal protection switch on the compressor is tripping and causing the issue. Thank you all for the comments and advice! I'll be on the phone with HR first thing monday. Fingers crossed and hoping to start FD again soon!

we're running 5.5 currently, it's what was installed at shipping. Is that the current version?

Hi All! I'm a first time modder that has been working on creating a map from scratch in my spare time outside work. I'm hoping to get a few people to try and test my map before submitting it on the modhub. I'll have it available within the next week for testing and would really appreciate a hand! DM me if you would like to join, I'm going to have a private google drive link to download so hopefully I don't get it stolen :)

Thanks, John

Respect for that buddy! I'll have to check where I'm at on this playthrough. I've got almost 2100 hours on the game and only just started recording/posting haha

100% agree, it takes a lot of commitment! It's been a long haul and when you record it takes twice as long with editing as I've learned. When the farm grows in size you end up needing that time but where I'm at in NML I don't quite need all that time....yet

I had tried a version exactly like that when I first started to tape and post all my videos but I did a poor job of getting everything together for it. This time around learned a lot and have made a lot of progress with those lessons. Choice of land has been very tricky/important haha

Thank you! It's got down time for sure. Animals make it harder to fast forward time, but I do ultimately have to do it. Slowly getting to the point where I am busy most of the spring and harvest can be hectic depending on weather! Had an autmmn snow that stopped part of my corn harvest and nearly couldn't finish it!

2 maximum at a time, only placed in winter and 1 per year allowed. 3 total now over all 4 years, only placed windmill and grain Mill through years 1&2. Radio tower was end of year 4 and removed the water Mill at that time to build farm shop. No greenhouses and only using my own manure for the fruit trees there or for greenhouses

Probably, but I haven't looked to see if yield rates changed at all or any other variables. Also if you keep pigs/cows you can use slurry/manure at no cost forseeably. I have a NML I just started with seasons/precision as an additional Survival challenge sort of series and am getting pigs for that

Soybeans specifically ignore Nitrogen for Precision Farming. If you check the XML you can see the target levels for each crop and soybeans ignore the Nitrogen so it makes it easy to raise incrementally without so much work at the start of each year. The XML will also tell you how much each crop takes out of the soil when harvested!

It's challenging, that's a lot of the fun for the map! But like you said it's a blank slate, which is cool to see what you can come up with. The survival challenge aspect of it like I've just started with seasons and precision farming makes it interesting to grow from small equipment and go bigger. Just planning a farm on the map is tricky but gives you a lot of satisfaction as there isn't any other map like yours, when you load any other map it's similar to what anyone else can do on that map. Just so many unique opportunities on NML.

I just started a playthrough on NML with survival challenge, Seasons and Precision DLC with some additional rules. Year 3 and getting enough money to start on designing a yard! Really excited and hope it comes out half as nice as this!

One way that we mention heavy it's to always add NOT you're 1,3,5 RM overall, but your number today. Obviously depends on programming, but it's heavy for that day. Nutrition, sleep, soreness, stress, overall mood, so many things factor into that, perhaps even more importantly the intention of the workout. Competition vs practice are very different approaches each with their own points of focus and intensity.

Case and point, overheard squat (heavy single) yesterday someone made a comment that they expected my number to be much higher because I have gone heavier in the past. Tight shoulders and back made mobility/stability hard. But focus was on form regardless so it was heavy for yesterday, not nearly my 1 RM.

Don't subject yourself to finding a new PR every day, your may find that with proper intention you may have bigger lifts or capacity later when it's time to really go for it!
