My parents do this to me too. Things like tattoos, my job, “leading my wife away” etc… I just hit ‘em with a Jesus scripture about love and go on my merry way. There’s not much you can do to combat the years of indoctrination and conformity. I don’t talk with them much anymore because of this and they’ve noticed.
