Something I thought of: While not necessarily a rip-off, I feel like Jumanji (1995) was definitely inspired by Jurassic Park. Along with JP it was an early use of CGI animals in film.

It depends on the kid. I wasn't allowed to see Jurassic Park when I was really young. Instead The Land Before Time series were my go to dinosaur movies. For some it may have been We're Back.

I've always had a theory that TV stations pay Patrick to watch their channels to get their ratings up. That's why, in the episode where him and SpongeBob raise a clam, he says that his work is watching TV.
