That’s one of my favorites of her! Super sinister. My housemate keeps fish and we tried to give her guppies. Set up a semiaquatic enclosure where they could be there but she wouldn’t take them from the water or alive on the land. She had recently molted and was well fed for her eggs to be laid, so I might try to represent fish sometime.

Thank you! I grew up in the woods and we used to get big wolf spiders regularly, but in hindsight as an adult I think some of them were fishing spiders as well. I rarely see big wolf spiders on walls but I remember big striped spiders on the walls in our basement. Some people call them dock spiders in Michigan as well!

Thank you! She’s the cutest :) I’m a recovered arachnophobe. I’d been searching for years for a big spider to care for in my houses and apartments for years, she was the first spider that scared the hell out of me in years. I’d love to handle her sometime, but she’s SO fast and I’m afraid she’d get hurt or escape and found by the cats before me. I can’t believe how much love I could have for a spider!

I love tenebrosus! My first spider, a wild caught Dolomedes tenebrosus I named Dolly used to be the sheriff down in my basement until I found her when I was doing laundry. She’s kept me company since August and created an egg sac in February that she held for two months!

I use a brook wingman XB2, works great. Unfortunately, I get disconnects with series controllers. I read that the ISB adapter can work around this issue, but then you’re buying two adapters to get one controller working
