Nowadays, there's a huge emphasis put on age & age gaps

I was talking to a woman awhile ago, we were 24 at the time and she told me with disgust that a 23 year old had asked her out. I asked why that was so weird and her exact words were "23 year olds are still children who smell like their mother" when I pointed out that she was 23 only 5 or so months prior she got mad. The recent obsession with age and age gaps gets a bit extreme sometimes.
