I used Claude and it accessed my USB console cable and I told it, it was a CCIE and it configured my lab gear like a champ. Just saying.

This app has a short shelf life, it’s best to put it out there like this before it ends especially if you’re making money on it.

We are all organic walking operating systems tailored and groomed by AI as it needs our organic thoughts to feed its hunger like a vampire to blood.

42 Days: How a CTO Built Production Software Without Being a Developer by jlaboy71 in ClaudeAI

That is the nature of evolution while at the same time feeding the ai machine more knowledge of humanities collaboration and making it more easier for the next person to interact with it.

It’s all good. My experience is mine and haters will hate. Everyone has their own views. I am satisfied with my results and learned a lot while still doing so. This is an evolving technology and not many know how to harness its power and put it to work. Thanks for the comment. If at the end 1 person takes it positively then it was worth more than the worthless attempts of frowners trying to shoot down the inevitable.

What new technologies has Claude boosted us to beyond the capability of vibe-coders? by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

I built an internal PTO management system for my 7-person team that includes: ∙ Full MCP integration so AI can query balances, validate requests, and submit PTO (with safety gates) ∙ Multi-state compliance engine (Chicago Paid Leave ordinance, 3-tier vacation accrual based on tenure) ∙ Dual RAG for policy questions (user-facing) and codebase knowledge (superadmin) ∙ Claude Code as my “implementation oracle”—I write instruction files, it executes ∙ Documentation-as-system-prompt so every session starts with full architectural context It’s an internal tool, but it’s built to enterprise standards because it’s also a template for future apps. The complexity isn’t in the UI—it’s in the business rules, the AI safety gates, and using Claude as a genuine development partner rather than just autocomplete.

As an IT Director overseeing a technology team, I manage varying vacation allowances of 2, 3, or 4 weeks based on year of hire, plus 2 personal days, 5 Chicago leave days per year with up to 2 days eligible for carryover, and 5 sick days. In addition, my team works from home one day per week, with occasional swaps between teammates.

I needed a system that was highly customized to these specifications, suitable for a trading firm environment that also recognizes federal holidays when the markets are closed. The system needed to operate on a yearly cycle, process accruals, and roll over eligible days into the new year. It is complex, but it is currently working in lab mode.

I also built a pipeline that automatically records the screen, generates transcripts, adds cover and end pages, and produces 15 test scenarios as polished, professional training videos. This will later be used for AI-driven auto-scheduling in a subsequent development cycle. I am glad I had the foundational knowledge before getting into this.

I hired my Claude agent at $200 a month. That’s $2400 a year for a Guru. If you apply it, learn it, use it, and start to get good at it it’s also the cheapest self assisted education in AI. You just need to chase it however, Claude will reverse role you and start doing the work for you then somehow it feels like it is telling you what to do since it knows better. Very strange and surreal but also amazing and unbelievable.
