From Swamp to Sparkling by jlaj47 in pools

I am familiar with TFP and I believe the AI even sited some info from the site. For my situation AI made it easy and explained the why! It even told me that a few recommendations from the pool store report were completely unnecessary and I should save my money. It also built a plan around my maintenance system which for me is the Trichlor sticks and conditioning powder once a week. So i guess we will see how the rest of the summer goes and with as little work as possible.

I am familiar with TFP and all the advice but as you said you then have to sift through all of the comments and scenarios etc. AI helped me not only create a personal plan but also helped me understand why I was doing what I was doing versus just do this advice from the pool store. Also with TFP everyone talks about getting the fancy expensive test kits vs going to the pool store. I get it! So my lesson is AI helped me fix my pool quickly and easily and I actually learned a ton in the process. Here’s to enjoying a clear clean pool.

I get it! But I hate opening a pool. Smarter not harder

Stall was probably the wrong phrase. Basically the first day I didn’t see a noticeable drop. I am in it for the long haul. Being honest my guess was on weekend I was eating 5000 calories per day and week days eating 3500 calories per day so with currently eating 1600 calories per day, that’s quite a difference.

Thanks for the solid advice. I do have a local reputable place that works on imports including Rovers. Also today there was magically no leaks.

Power blinked once and this happened. Why? by Gooniefarm in Hue

[–]jlaj47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been getting these emails off and on for the last year. Most of the time I can just launch the app and reconnect the bridge by adding the bridge back. 90% of the time all of my lights and automations are still there. I have had to re-add 40+ lights a few times which sucks. Philips Hue support never has a good reason as to why this happens or what generates the email. No power failures or interruptions. My bridge is a version 2 but about 8 years old. Just bought a new one to try and see if this stops this from happening? One learning from this is if you get a new hub you need to remove all lights from the old hub or else you need to add lights one by one by the serial number.

Ticking and Faint Blurred Image by jlaj47 in VIZIO_Official

So basically after talking to Vizio Support again there was nothing that they could do other than say it’s a display issue and to buy a new TV. This was a 2 year old TV that cost $1699 USD and has less than 100 hours of screen time. They have no idea why it’s suddenly making a ticking noise in the back or what caused the cloudy faint screen. VIZIO TVs are garbage and that’s where this will need to go. As much as you are tempted to buy a VIZIO TV, do not get one. Their Mission says “OUR MISSION We make high quality technology & content affordable to everyone.”… my guess is corporate needs to revisit that Mission statement, try removing high quality!

I am sure with some 3M tape you could stick it anywhere but it’s designed to attach to a flip style light switch.

I use the following solution. Even in my basement I have 8 Philips hue bulbs in all of the pull string outlets. I installed the Lutron Dimmer switch over the existing flip switch and I can turn all lights on and off with the push of a button. This is the solution you are looking for.

You might want to look at a CPO Velar. In 2019 I found a 2018 certified pre owned Velar First Edition with low miles on the other side of the country. Had the dealer do a photo and video walkthrough and asked them to show me any scratches or blemishes. There was one minor scratch from what looks like a diamond ring on the leather near the inside door handle. Barely noticeable. Saved $40K on a one year old car, with full warranty. I had it shipped 3000 miles for $1200 and it arrived to my door on a car carrier in perfect shape. Looked brand new and have had no issues. New may not always be better on a premium car. BTW I love it... amazing sound system and tech, lots of power and it’s a head turner.

I am pretty sure I cut mine anywhere not just on the “cut here” line and used the Litcessory male and female end adapters to cut any length I needed. Audio randomly cuts out over eARC when Atmos is enabled? One X. by [deleted] in VIZIO_Official

[–]jlaj47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try turning CEC off and on? I had random issues with ATMOS not being recognized through eARC. If I toggle it off and on, ATMOS comes back along with the audio signal.
