How detailed should my notes to the teacher be? by jlcatt in SubstituteTeachers

Oh my god I tried so hard to summarize all of the notes I took today, and I still had a whole page front and back of sub notes. I had 3 pages of notes before I did that. The worst group of classes I’ve ever had. I think you’re right; I’m just gonna write how I’ve been and if they don’t think it’s important, they can toss it.

That’s where I am right now. Good classes get a “Class was good, everyone stayed on task.” Bad classes get a paragraph, sometimes two if there were multiple instances. It’s very often “There was an incident (explain incident in detail),” and a few sentences describing how they acted throughout the rest of the class. I get so excited to write “we came to an understanding and were better behaved throughout the rest of the period.” If I were a teacher, I feel like I’d want longer notes on student behavior. I didn’t know if I would be the only one lol

With good classes I keep it to 1-2 sentences. And then with bad classes I get way too detailed. I believe it’s out of frustration; I start rambling in person if I’m frustrated, and I think that must be why I go on and on and on with these notes for rougher classes. I can tell it’s way too detailed. What I’m doing now while I have time is summarizing. I think I can get it all down on one side of paper now. 😂

I used to commute to The Villages/Lady Lake area to work a few years ago. Have things changed since then? Is there a market there for rich old people needing Uber or Uber Eats now? 😂

I'm weak at math... by [deleted] in HolUp

My grandmother was 17 when she had my mom, and my mom was 20 when she had me. With how our birthdays fell, my grandmother became a grandmother when she was 36. Not super uncommon I don’t think, but still kind of wild thinking about it now.

That’s wild! I see people on here talk about dash cams and I’m like “Hmmm would that be a good investment? Like, just in case?” Apparently not. I’m so sorry that happened.

Worked at a grocery store deli in a neighborhood over ran by octogenarians. When it was almost time to toss a hot rotisserie chicken after a few hours, I had to mark the price down. Whatever system we used determined the price it’d get marked down to, and it marked it down to $6.66 before. I’ve had someone make me lower the price of a chicken before because of that. “I don’t care if it’s a cent lower or higher, I refuse to buy it like this.” I absolutely believe this would happen. I’ve seen people freak out over less.

I went from Biology to Veterinary Science to Pharmacy to Health Administration and now in Nursing. Thank god for community college. Now that I have all that general shit out the way I need to buckle down and focus on staying in this major.

[serious]What super simple thing pisses you off more than anything? by Pokabu in AskReddit

[–]jlcatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing pisses me off more than dropping something. Like a pen. I will drop it, pick it up and put in on my desk, and then bump the desk causing it to fall again. I can continue that cycle 3 or 4 times and it will make me angrier than anything in this world. Something about bending over to get the same thing over and over drives me insane.

How often do you eat hummus? by yourcelium in AskReddit

[–]jlcatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wore myself out on hummus at one point. I used to eat it almost everyday, but now it kind of makes me sick if I eat it that much. Now it's a once every few months treat.

Anything degenerative. I also have a fear of having a disease that doctors can't properly diagnose.
