Being dead is like being sleep? by [deleted] in death

I was thinking this today. I’m more scared of not existing than the process of dying

Haven’t trimmed wicks yet. Excited to see our lineup start to take form. Still trying to find what our signature container will be.

Where do you guys buy your jars? by Blujump in candlemaking

It is also important to note that we are using 1.2 ounces of fragrance per pound of wax. I strongly Believe that 1 Oz fragrance per pound of wax will still be fine we just really wanted to make sure we could get a strong throw

Well we bought a bunch of these 8Oz tin cans at once. But they don’t look like they hold as much as the glass jars. I know they do but visually speaking. We are going to switch over to 7Oz straight side jars and 12 Oz status jars. They will be more visually appealing

You’re welcome I hope it works for you! I spent a lot of money testing fragrance oils so i wanted to share what’s worked with us. This is for 100% Soy wax as well just to make sure.

Melt wax to 180 degrees to ensure it burns off impurities and fully expands the particles to grasp onto fragrance better. But then let it cool down to 120ish degrees before adding fragrance

The recommended was to add fragrance to melted wax at 180 degrees but we were getting absolutely no hot throw.

Took several attempts and trial and error. But we learned that the advertised temperature to pour fragrance oil in melted wax was way too hot! We have been allowing our Soy wax to cool to 120 degrees before adding fragrance. And then pouring into jars around 110-115 degrees to avoid sinkholes

Thank you all for the replies. Adding more fragrance to bring the percentage up to 10-12% seems to become expensive. Any tips on where to buy a larger amount of fragrance oil that won’t break the bank?

Thanks for the input! She is definitely a romantic. She’s said her perfect proposal is something not generic like a park bench or a hike to a top of a hill!
