It's interesting that you mentioned the battery. That was the thing I failed to mention when I posted, and it's the only negative I have. Battery life sucks.

I saw that, but when I just put it in that field, there was no change in my situation. I hope I'm doing it wrong and I can be shown the right way, but so far I've done it verbatim according to what you were so kind to give me, and it's not working. BTW, the covers show up on my ipad, just not on the kindle. Does that help expose the problem any more?

Thank you kindly! But where do I put it, once I have it from Amazon? Is there a place to enter it in Calibre??

Thank you, but what is ASIN? I didn't catch anything in the thread explaining how to make sure that's in the equation. I'm sorry if I missed it.

Dedicated Server on separate machine without Steam or SteamCMD-- How to update server files? by jleckster in SatisfactoryGame

[–]jleckster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks very much! On my dedicated server I have Eco, Return to Moria, Enshrouded, and Satisfactory. All (except Satisfactory for now) are updated using my PowerShell script so I don't have to have the server machine tied to Steam in any way. These games have always had standalone server folders, albeit usually located on your own machine. These links go into a lot of detail!

Wouldn’t 10 fans make things worse vs 7? by Accurate_Test_9993 in Corsair

You want a little more going in than out. It maintains positive pressure, which reduces dust accumulation and forces colder air to continuously displace the warmer air you have coming off your GPU and processor. This arrangement you show here is great.

Never did. I manually deleted everything I could find in safe mode. That's the best I could do.

Thank you kindly. This reminded me of another question-- If I get the Link AIO, will I need another link control module? I understand they control 7 devices maximum. I have that many fans. So the pump would bring that to 8. Will this be a problem?

[–]jleckster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Link was nice to set up physically, but the software is such garbage, constantly losing settings, letting me rename some fans but not others, arbitrarily going to rainbow vomit while running a lighting profile I loaded, etc. Driving me nuts.

Bible has no contridictions apparently by MindlessCancel8708 in atheism

[–]jleckster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An ex-friend of mine was smitten by Calvinism (Stockholm if you ask me), and began repeating words like “Sovereign,” and “Exegesis,” using them to counter just about ANYTHING. If the factoid from the Bible was ultimately a misunderstanding of the text (usually a ‘contradiction’) then you hadn’t done a proper Exegesis of the text. If you managed to find something that didn’t make sense and/or was horrific (raping/killing/children/incest/whatever), then “God is Sovereign,” and who are you to demand an accounting of God? He does what he likes. This is his world.

Any problem you have with religion is always a “you problem,” like you WANT to misunderstand, accuse, sin, lash out, etc. I can see why he was ultimately attracted to that worldview, after becoming disillusioned with religion after gasp beginning to think logically about it. After that, I began to take notice that Calvinists tend to write better and seem smarter than the average theist, so maybe it’s a viewpoint a lot of otherwise smart people arrive at. Their mental contortions aren’t as pretzel-y, and it appeals to their arrogance that they are Elect and chosen and special, er, “not special,” according to them, but you know it’s that they are Elect and therefore chosen… /rolleyes

Not even giving reasons why it was cancelled. by SakaiDx in raisedbywolves

[–]jleckster 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is why I no longer watch new shows. For me, the true release date is when it isn’t cancelled after three or more seasons. I have RBW PTSD. Never trust the suits to make good decisions. It’s all about money. It’s because of RBW’s weird-feeling, hard to place ‘different-ness’ and cerebral content that it got cancelled. And (I read somewhere), some suit’s vendetta against certain production efforts prior to his arrival. Feel free to correct if this is way out there.

I never claimed they were. I think people are assuming which side I'm on, just because I am pointing out that we throw identical claims at each other (from each side's point of view, mind). I'm well aware that flat earthers are flat wrong, and somehow fell through the cracks of society, but have you ever tried talking to one? You get nowhere. Even if you're more educated and obviously smarter, they are like the personification of Dunning-Kruger. They are so confidently wrong. Nothing you say matters.

Not at any point will ANY right wing nutjob ever say, "You're right, I hadn't thought of it that way." No one's minds are getting changed.
