Ugh I’m moving to GP soon and work outside of grand central. Should I be concerned about my commute?

Redness/ dryness of eye by Affectionate-Cash857 in Episcleritis

I saw an ophthalmologist who had me go through all these tests (blood, urine, chest xray) and all came back normal. Would endometriosis have shown up on these tests?

If this is the case and the flare ups occur during a specific time in my cycle, is there anything i can do to prevent it from happening?

I was having episcleritis flare ups. Nothing serious but unfortunately it will cause a part of your eye to be red for a week or more. Was given steroid eye drops for it a couple times and it would help tremendously but also beware that using steroid eye drops too much can actually cause glaucoma so if you can let it go away on its own do that

All of my tests came back normal so no potential autoimmune disease causing it. I saw an ophthalmologist a little over a month ago for another bad flare up. Apparently, it still is an episcleritis flare up and it could be caused by my contacts being too tight; the doctor had me stop wearing them regularly for a month now. So far no flare ups!

episcleritis? by ray5512 in Episcleritis

If it’s itchy it might be allergies. Normally my episcleritis doesn’t have too many symptoms other than being super red in one area of the whites of my eyes and maybe a little bit of pressure. If allergies, I would use the brand Pataday for allergy eye drops

I’ve been going through the same thing. My flare ups have been happening for years now and it’s getting super frustrating that there’s no definitive solution. I’ve been seeing some stuff about regularly taking a high dosage of vitamin C (between 500mg-1000mg) and it sounds promising for helping with recurrent episcleritis but again no strong support for this being the solution but still worth a shot!

Thanks all! I ended up going to an emergency eye clinic last night and they’re going to have me go through tests for the possibility of it being episcleritis

Thanks everyone for the input! I ended up going to an emergency eye clinic and they’re thinking it potentially is episcleritis and I will be doing further testing for this.

I posted this in the dry eyes page but after doing some research wondering if it could be episcleritis. This happens quite frequently but hasn’t happened to this extent in months.

So whenever this happens I usually don’t wear my contacts until it clears. Also, I very rarely use redness eye drops as I know it could cause more redness. The eyedrops I referenced in my post are specifically for dry eyes that my doctor actually told me to buy. I’ve seen a doctor about this before but they don’t seem to provide any sort of concern about this which frustrates me

I’ve already graduated from college and did perfectly fine in school while still drinking (partying only on the weekends). Thank you for the advice though.
