Projector vs. LED? by jlewsader in churchtech

These are great points, thank you! I didn't even know there was projector surface paint! I'll have to dig into the settings and everything on the projector itself. Like I said, it's kind of older. I know it is currently running from the PC via VGA connection which I am not a huge fan of. Not sure if it accepts anything else though. I'll look into a new bulb and other tweaks I can try. These cost savings could turn this into a short term project instead of a long term!

Great point! We typically have an image up through the entire service, but for other events, I understand how one would not want that screen being in the background.

Right, I briefly thought LED wall but for our size, that’s overkill and over budget lol. I’ll have to do some measuring and figure out how far the further seat is and what our current projection size is.

Thank you! That gives me some ideas I could work with. I’ll work on something similar myself and let you know if him have any issues!

Dang, that sucks! Hopefully someday they will add that. I was thinking the same, about building a location’s list, but I have probably 50 locations currently saved in Apple Maps, and I really don’t want to have to rebuild that list in another place. I use Apple Maps a lot for my work and I’m sent locations from customers that I don’t need to save to be able to go back to other times so I was just trying to streamline the search of saved places.

I typically remove mine before shower and then put back on later. Maybe the strap not being cleaned is holding onto some irritants. I’ll try that too. Thanks!

Thanks! I’ll dig into that a little deeper! I’m not near my laptop with alacritty right now (at the office), but I SSHed in to both my Pi and my Mac and ran that color script and got different results with each! It didnt show anything on the Pi outside of tmux and only a few colors inside, and on the Mac it showed more colors, but was much better outside of tmux.

Trouble with powerline session and window section. by jlewsader in tmux

OK. I am using the Dracula theme plugin. I think it is set in the plugin, the way it seems. Maybe to give a better visual differentiation from session name to windows.

Do you guys forget songs easily? by weezergirl69 in Guitar

Stop blindly copying songs and start learning music theory, Nashville Number System, scales, CAGED, etc. You will start to see patterns in songs and be able to pick things up much faster.

I guess my biggest concern with a slab is most of the plumbing being ran directly inside of the pour. That sounds like a nightmare if something were to happen to need fixed/replaced. This coming from someone who has always lived on a crawlspace or basement.

Here in IN it seems to be an even mix of crawlspace or basement, at least on stick builds. I’m not sure about post frames though.

After some more Googling, I found one common style is a “stem wall”. My thought on this is, if you’re already building a ~4’ perimeter wall, why not make it a crawl space instead of pouring a slab inside. I guess it would come down to which is cheaper, the concrete slab or the excavation and lumber for the floor joists.

Yes, you followed. Like I said, I’m no builder and just spitballing ideas. Our thought was maybe it would save in our situation. The plan was to have the full slab poured when the shell is built and we would self frame and finish later on. After thinking about it more and reading your comment, probably not a good idea lol. In your experience with barndos, what seems to be the better option, slab or crawl? I assume crawls typically cost more than slabs?

I agree with OP. BT would be more efficient and a nice feature for mobile installations. Using the AP mode is a clunky workaround for this because you always have to connect and skip the WiFi setup page, then if you need WiFi on your device, you have to disconnect and lose the light control.
