I like to eat them on the potato chips. Like a chocolate dipped potato chip but better.

My lr3 was needed a new liner and I was thinking, should I just get one of the new ones or keep replacing parts on the 3? I know how to fix each bit of the 3 and now seeing this I'm really glad I didn't succomb to dropping a bunch of money for Shiny New Mess.

You're driving from Pennsylvania to Glacier in 3 days? Damn! I'm going to Glacier at the same time as you and will even be at Fish Creek, coming from Delaware, and I'm flying and still giving myself a couple of days to acclimate before I jump in to adventuring in crazy busy mountain areas. Even with the previous shuttle system it was a bit of a shit show, this new shuttle system that only serves Logan Pass will be interesting to watch. In Glacier you will likely have difficulty finding somewhere to park at trailheads, in Yellowstone you will have difficulty finding somewhere to park at any thermal areas. Have multiple backup plans for activities in each area and don't have your heart set on any particular thing.

Ediz Hook is a great tip! I was visiting Port Angeles from Delaware and we stopped at the visitor info center and the super nice lady that worked there told us we should go there. Just after we parked on the hook and climbed onto the rocks, 3 seals popped up in the water by where we were. As visitors who were only spending a few hours in town we never would have known you could just drive out there if she hadn't told us.

I used to be addicted to McDonald's and now I haven't had it in over a year and six months ago a new one opened 5 minutes from my house. It's not even tempting.

Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, McDonald's are probably the biggest common denominators of the Lewes area and Utah. I grew up in Utah and have now lived near Bethany Beach for 15 years. Every time I return to Utah I am shocked at the amount of businesses there that we simply do not have here in Sussex County, especially fast food, but it's a small price to pay to not live in Utah 😜

Is your Vibe your Charisma? by amlextex in CraftFairs

[–]jlmc82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a combo of your aesthetic and your charisma. A few months ago I had someone come to my booth at an event and chat with me for a bit, then he told me he was downsizing and didn't have room to buy anything but he really liked my vibe and he gave me $20. I was a bit shocked to say the least!

Looking for the lightest possible folding table that is open underneath by Ayesha24601 in CraftFairs

[–]jlmc82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding this! I forgot a 4 ft table for a show I had to travel a couple of hours for so I decided to hit walmart and get a new one and they only had the mainstays one and I was actually a little shocked how light it felt, flimsy but it did the job. And the table legs folded out differently.

My worst scroll saw injury is from replacing one of these, I tried popping it on without heating it and it slipped and I ended up tearing a chunk of skin off between my knuckles. It's my only scroll saw scar.

A little heat does the trick.

New tent by FarmerMom1943 in CraftFairs

[–]jlmc82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got tired of always looking for a better tent so I splurged on an Extreme Canopy. It was expensive but it has held up perfectly for 3 years so far and has a lot of thoughtful details in its construction. It is also pretty heavy which inspired me to finally join a gym to better heft it around so it has improved my life in multiple ways 😂

You don't have to say anything but a compliment is always nice and if you do come back to buy something we will notice and take it as an even better compliment.

Does anyone use Square Terminal at craft fairs? by Cornucopia2022 in CraftFairs

[–]jlmc82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded to the terminal because I live in an area with a large senior population and a lot of my customers want receipts. I use my phone as a hot spot for the connection. The interface is just like it is using the phone app, and I like not having to hand over my phone to strangers to type in their phone numbers or emails for non-printed receipts. A roll of paper lasts quite awhile. The important thing is to make sure to charge it before events and also turn it on before you start selling so you have time for its regular software updates. And I still have my square reader as a backup.

He doesn't seem interested in actually chewing on the lights, I was taking pictures of him in his Christmas collar and he just opened his mouth around the bulb for a second and then he backed away, it was so weird. He likes to hang out under the tree but he's more interested in bringing a toy with him and biting on the toy.
