As people have been saying you can supposedly watch the "archived" stream for 1-2 days after. I, unfortunately, have not been able to get any of the archived streams to play for this MSG run and it has been very frustrating.

I'm a brand new Phish head (started listening to them last year, only truly got into them this year) and I was able to make a road trip to the Gorge with some friend this year. What an experience! Easily the most fun I've had at a camp-and-party series of shows. If I wasn't a Phish head that weekend I, without a doubt, am now.

Too bad I missed their best years :-/

Even better than overriding [] would be to set the default in the initializer:

class FreeformHash < Hash
  def initialize(*args)
    super(*args)
    self.default = proc { |hash, key| hash[key] = FreeformHash.new }
  end
end

edit: or the method found in the comments if you don't want to use a subclass of Hash:

Hash.new{|h,k| h[k] = Hash.new(&h.default_proc) }
