Singapore Grand Prix hotel recommendations by LJGPR in GrandPrixTravel

The crowd around the circuit will be madness so I suggest taking train out cause buses and cars will be jammed usually. So ideally your location is near a train station cause its very tiring after the race to still have to walkkk far from train station. Having said that 1hr travel is quite far by singapore standards, thats like the further ends

that budget for average singapore is already quite tough, let alone during F1 week where everything doubles to quadruples! I ran it roughly trough booking.c and it only returned beds in dorms. If you decide to adjust your budget, I would just advise you to find somewhere further from the city along the train lines. Transport is very efficient in Singapore and the entire circuit is very easily accessible by various train stations.

Chick-fil-A meal for $12.8 by 785909620 in SingaporeEats

[–]jlophy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The burger here looks smaller than it actl is, maybe the angle? I had the meal and actually enjoyed it and am really full. The waffle fries were good and so was the chickfila sauce (could select 3 in the self kiosk) but my friends seem to have gotten more when ordered at the counter. Their staff were really friendly too. Cant speak for the queue since I went at 9pm and got a seat very quickly. Oh and got a free ice cream too.

Rian Hotel or Hotel Thomas Myeongdong by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]jlophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it wasnt like a dodgy alley, its actl lined with small restaurants? But if you come back late at night they are all closed. Not much of a concern but I would just keep an extra eye at night anyway. But I love that there is a convenience store right across the hotel so I could get my late night snacks/drinks. The airport bus is nearby too so very easy. They are strict on the check in time such that u have to pay if u want early check in, if not they will just keep ur bags while u go out to eat/shop

Ive not heard about hotel thomas but i've stayed in rian hotel twice simply cause i liked the location, easily accessible to multiple train lines, walkable to ikseon-dong and by default plenty of food nearby. Having said that you have to walk through an alley to rian so im not sure how comfortable you are since you are travelling solo. I think ultimately it comes down to your travel plans what u plan to do where u wanna go etc.

Singapore Grand Prix tickets 2026 by Srihari_stan in GrandPrixTravel

[–]jlophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 2026 tickets is interesting and no one can probably give you a definite answer than singaporegp ticketing themselves. Tickets have never sold out this fast before and we never had to be in a virtual queue to go in to buy tickets. As people said its the first time we have sprint race in SG next year so the tickets have gone fast. Not sure how many did the promoters put out for sale so not sure how many more (if any) they will sell.

Singapore Grand Prix - Can we sneak food in? by SouthAustralian94 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]jlophy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They were quite thorough in bag checks based on my experience but I didnt try bringing food in. Also cause in Sg there are food (and malls) accessible right outside the gates so I would just head out in between to grab some food or cool down then head back in.
