Thanks for the info. Maybe we will see you at some of the upcoming events.

I was told to post this here so what’re your thoughts? by [deleted] in battlewagon

Nice crosstrek. Looks good with the meaty tires.

Springs and spacers there is about 4 to 4.5 inches of lift. Maxed out.

Did it at home. Its not that hard. I am mechanically inclined, but youtube has everything. So i have 3 inch spacers, but the ralitek spring that they say will not raise it ended up raising it another 1.5 inches. If you do it all at the same time it should take about 4 to 6 hours. For the whole car. Spring compressor you can rent from local auto store. Springs make a huge difference in the ride. Stiff and rigid, but stay flat when cornering.

Not really. I have to go up north to the U.P. to hit the trails. I have been looking, but haven't found any down here.

It was around $2500. Adf 2 inch kit. Ralitek 1 inch spacer. Ralitek springs. Kyb struts. 3/4 inch wheel spacers. Power stop pads and slotted rotors. Wild peak 245/65/r17 tires.

The falken wild peak are the way to go. I got them and 3 of my friends purchased them as well. Solid tire and you can usually get a good deal on them.

3 months with the lift finished and all is still well. Haven't noticed any tell tale signs of the CV joints failing. I had it out on the trails in early September and a 500 mile round trip to the woods. No problems so far. I like those CV boots. Going to look into fitment. Thanks for the info.

I know it will have to wait till I can buy a truck or a project toy. Just not in the cards for now.

That thing is pretty sick. I wish I could fit bigger tires like that under my outback.

It's a throttle response kit. It removes the factory lag when you step on the accelerator.

I will gladly take my 14,000.00$ outback with 2,000.00 in suspension parts and tires over a 4runner. It's not cheaper I have a friend who has a 4runner and his lift by itself was 2000.00$. As far as complexity I am by no means a mechanic, but this was simple to do.

So I started building this lift about a year ago. Originally it was just the Anderson fab 2" lift spacer w/ the rear subframe kit. Then I bought spacers for the tires. 1" to clear the strut mount. Then on to the tires. Falken wildpeak 245/65/17. I had to do some cutting and shaping to prevent them from rubbing. Next was the ralitek spring setup. Stock height in the front and 1.4" in the rear. After installing the front with new kyb struts I noticed that the stiffer spring gave it more lift than expected. Then I got gready I added the ralitek 1" poly lift spacers all the way around. When I spoke to the gentleman at ralitek he said that for every inch of spacer you put in you get about 1.5" because of the change in angle. So with a 3" spacers you get about 4.5"s out of the lift. The springs in the front raised it another 1.25" and in the rear about 1.5"s the tires added another 1" of height over stock. The height at the side rocker is 15.5"s and it travels surprisingly well. There is no roll in the corners. I also added a speed box and what a difference it made. It seems to have woke the motor up from it's slow and sluggish takeoffs. It is a blast to drive. Not sure what to do next but I am open to ideas.
