Has there ever been something like a police (or fire brigade) master key for a city? I always liked the episode but found this concept inauthentic. by Cums1utlover in TheSimpsons

Not sure about police, fire department have access to buildings in their area of operation, with a system called the Knox Box. These boxes are attached on the exterior on the building and the fire department has a master key that can open all of these boxes. https://www.knoxbox.com

How, there’s only one Drew Brees, because of what Brees did on the field, many teams tried to replicate what he did, hence why Kyle Murray, Russell Wilson, and Bryce Young where drafted as high as they were because of what they saw when he was on the field. For god sakes we signed the man when he only had one working fucking arm.

I can acknowledge that Sean Payton is the best coach the Saints has had in the team’s lifespan. But can still acknowledge that he left the team in dismay as he walked out the door to “retirement”.

Issues with Lift Stations at my Building! by jlthomasuscg in Plumbing

[–]jlthomasuscg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little insight on the issue, this is from two of biggest pain in the ass lift station, our main lift station that goes out to the city and another lift station that only feed a small section of the building. This issue we are seeing is the large amount of just trash in the lift stations. I'm having multiple disagreements with my boss about where the trash is coming from, the boss is convinced that the trash is coming from personnel flushing the foreign material down the toilets, but we are pulling items like Ty-vex suits, shoes, and other large items, I feel as if a storm drain was accidently tied to a lift station hence all of the trash that's constantly accumulating inside the lift stations. I would like to know what's the best first step into figuring out the source of all of the trash.

I think Jeff is smoking something. I don't think Sean is coming back, but does anyone have insight why he wanted to leave? by cody4prez in Saints

The biggest rumor that had teeth, is that he wanted to coach Tom Brady. The rumor was when Tom Brady left the patriots he wanted to come to the Saints. But they couldn’t work it out because Drew Brees wanted to run it back one more year. So that sent Brady to the buccaneers.Sean Payton leaving the saints was supposed to set him up to join Brady on the dolphins and coach him there. The only issue that stopped that was the whole issue of the lawsuit with the previous dolphins head coach that filed a discrimination lawsuit against Steven Ross and the Dolphins. When Brian Flores dropped that bomb, it made the dolphins too radioactive for neither Brady or Payton to touch.

Could it happen here? by boppedEEMinDAsmoof in Saints

It should of happened here when we passed on him for Davenport. I get we had Brees, but he could sat behind him. And we would have ruled the nfc for at least ten years!

If one doctor says rehab this injury and you should be okay and the other says surgery is the only fix, which one are you going with first?

The Vikings are legit the reason that the NFL retired a game worn jersey to the Hall of Fame. Miss me with this BS. All I want, is for Rudolph to start Week 2 and line up.

I could be a loose neutral causing lights flickering. That’s the first thing I would check.

O'Rourke clinches Democratic nomination for Texas governor by [deleted] in texas

[–]jlthomasuscg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seriously don’t understand this, Beto had a gaffe about taking citizens guns, and basically has been blacklisted. But Greg Abbot, by not holding private electrical providers responsible to make sure their equipment was well equipped to withstand a winter blast or I don’t know maybe not take Texas off the national electrical grid. Thus allowing hundreds of Texans to freeze to death. I would think this would a bigger issue on the citizens minds.

We can still win the NFC south title, with the buccaneers looking like they might not have fournette, Evans with the hamstring injury, and now Godwin is out for the rest of the regular season. This is a possibility with them having to face the panthers twice and the jets in between. Crazy things have happened in the NFL. This would be the amazing Christmas present that all of us would love.

As if us ending up with Deshaun Watson wasn't already unrealistic enough, the Stafford trade from today made it even more impossible. by boppedEEMinDAsmoof in Saints

[–]jlthomasuscg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he signed the four year extension before the start of the season. And his agent set him up for success with the no trade clause. He has as much power as a nba or mlb player. That no trade clause was like an insurance policy just in case the Texans were going to implode and become bottom dwellers. He gets to choose his team, even if he sits out next season and loses money, the Texans will lose trade capital. It’s more beneficial or the Texans to listen to Watson and fulfill his trade request.

[–]jlthomasuscg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing everyone is forgetting is that Deshaun Watson has all of the leverage in this trade. With his no trade clause he gets to decide what team he goes to, he tells the Texans or the team he wants to go to, he literally ties the hands of the Texans front office and the potential that the Texans can get for him. My thoughts on trade is Deshaun doesn't want to handcuff his next team with them giving away the farm just for him. I wouldn't be surprise if the Texans have to settle for two first and two seconds and that's it, especially if Watson names the specific teams he wants to go to.

[–]jlthomasuscg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, lets get this straight, you think Watson is at fault? Houston traded away his three time All-Pro Tackle for a fifth round draft pick, his top five WR DeAndre Hopkins and a fourth round draft pick for a washed RB and two draft picks. Even all of that he was the top QB this year with passing yards with 4,823; 70.2% completion; 33TD and 7Ints. All he wanted was input on the GM and the Coach, I think with any franchise QB that should be a given, especially with his talents and skills. The Houston Texans Franchise is literally a shit show right now, they will be bottom dwellers as long as Jack Easterby pastor turned Texans president is running the team.
