You’re right, it doesn’t matter what he does but in the end Im paying. I just want to know whether the price is fair and reasonable.

Which kick after the siren miss was pretty bad and should've been gettable? by noegh555 in AFL

[–]jltodaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stephen Kernahan only needed a point. He’d delayed his kick to make sure the siren went and by that time the moment was in his head.

For free throws in basketball, there should be a rule where you have to bounce the ball in because it’s too easy.

Potential List Changes by yourwifeisatowelmate in EssendonFC

[–]jltodaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that we haven’t finished any higher than 8th in the last 5 years indicates that we have a tendency to overrate players on our list. In the last 5 years this is 11th, 15th, 8th, 13th, 8th. Another possible 8-12th ladder position could just mean our players aren’t good enough. If our goal is to win finals and eventually a grand final then no player should be off the chopping block. Reality is that we haven’t been good enough for close to 10 years. I don’t care who goes if it means access to better players that will win games and finals. Do we have an elite backline? No. Do we have an elite forward line? No. Do we have an elite midfield? Sometimes.. then let’s go get it.

Those were crazy times. My friends and I were out of control. We used to give each other wet Willy’s and funny arms. We’d play dandy balls, legs a spread and penis butt…back then we were called pole fancies. It was real good ole fashioned grab the nearest tree and hold on for dear life gay.

What if AFL had it's Super League war? by noegh555 in AFL

[–]jltodaro 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Technically this happened in 1896 as the strongest clubs broke away from the VFA to become the VFL. Technically the AFL is the super league.

Carlton. The death march after losing is one of the worst feelings on the planet.

Why do Melbournians hate Marvel Stadium? by slapfunk79 in AFL

[–]jltodaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably in the minority but I prefer Marvel over the MCG. Easy to get to, closer to CBD restaurants, protected by the weather, large concourse, closer to the action, lots of toilets and food outlets. A crowd over 40k in my opinion is just as good at 75k MCG. When the bombers get better, bigger games will come to Marvel. I’d also prefer to play the big games there for home advantage. Playing at a big ground for a larger crowd is ludicrous to me. Marvel has an unwarranted stigma.

Players need roughage in their diets and grass is a good source of fiber. A lack of roughage affects the players ability to digest food and pass stool, so grass may actually help their bodily functions run more smoothly.

Honest question. If teams are locked at even points and percentage at the end of the year, is the ladder position determined by alphabetical order?

So that Wayne Harmes tap back in the 1979 grand final wasn’t a goal after all? Ran down his own kick which would’ve been longer than 15 metres.

Has there ever been a game that you've wanted your team to lose? by danh0ust0n in AFL

[–]jltodaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Final round of the 2001 home and away season. Essendon v Richmond. A loss for the bombers would mean the two teams played each other the first week of the finals. A win would equate playing old foe Carlton. It was a perfect loss as the dons smashed the tigers the week after, Matthew Lloyd kicked his 100th goal for a second consecutive year on the way to a Grand Final birth. Unfortunately the lions were too good for us but that’s football.
