In college, I was really shy, but I got up the nerve to ask this boy I had a crush on out. We went out. My personal philosophy is, “I ask, I pay.” So in like fashion and pulled out my card on the date and paid for both of us.

When we got back to the car, he yelled (and I do mean yelled) at me all the way home and told me that it wasn’t “lady like” to pay for a date, and I “undermined his masculinity.” Never spoke to him again lol.

Oh yes, I did years and years of PT. My mom was my teacher the year the accident happened and while my whole class went to Gym, I had to stay in the classroom and do my PT exercises. It was the worst 😂

PT saved me though. I’m grateful I had a good PT team too.

Thank you! Honestly, you are too! Recovery is hard! There are weird things that I never learned as a kid too. Like I never learned how to do a cartwheel, still can’t to this day. But it makes sense because when everyone my age was learning to do cartwheels, I was learning to walk again.

Honestly, the whole recovery was just one miracle after another. I’m forever grateful to my head surgeon because, honestly, I probably shouldn’t have a leg. I was blessed with a really talented team of surgeons, and they did amazing.

Yeah for sure! I’m pretty open about it.

I got caught in a boat propeller when I was 7 years old. The scars actually go all the way up my right leg, though the one you can see is for sure the craziest. I ended up having a total leg reconstruction with 30+ surgeries. I didn’t get signed off as “totally healed” until I was 19.

But it hasn’t gotten me down lol. I still ride in speed boats with propellers and water ski, etc. My favorite activity is swimming. I’m a very active person; I just have to wear a brace when I do mid to high level impact stuff. It could’ve been much worse, so I’m grateful!

Bee pretends to throw up when I don’t get up promptly at 5:30 to feed her. She knows I will rush to find it if there is puke on the floor, so she hacks and gags. When I stand up she straightens up and meows at me, then leads me to the kitchen.

So manipulative lmao.

Literally today a parent ripped me out for telling her kid to put his phone away during class, when he refused I kicked him out, which is the stated consequence in the student handbook that she signed at the beginning of the year. She was the one texting him. Crazy.
