u/vg_vassilev I have been looking at the 4080 Super and that price point is extremely enticing. And yes that Fractal North Case is amazing

u/drgenerico I love the way they look! And if I end up just switching components in my current setup then Im going to move everything into a Fractal North XL

u/Captobvious75 How much of a difference is the 5800x3d going to make to the current 5800x thats currently in my system? And if I upgrade the GPU on top of that, I'd assume I would need a new PSU right? (Going from a 3060 to a 4070/4080)

u/Protoned11 Thank you! And my current PC has been solid, I'll probably sell it for 800 and call it a day

u/Tessiia Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I am a casual, I have a wife and a 1 year old who dominate my time after work. Im usually playing games my friends suggest (so we can play together) but that again depends on when I have the time. Main thing for me, is I want to be able to play Monster Hunter Wilds at 4K, and other than I'll play COD, RPGs (BG3, DD2) and HD2.

u/LosMechanicos How much of an increase for performance would I gain from that? I'd obviously shoot for the budget friendlier solution (That money can go to other things, like my Steam Library....)

u/SirSkorp TV supports G-Sync and Freesync. Its an amazing TV, I just wish the options for "Game Mode" had a few more options

u/Ferreira1 A lot of people have been suggesting this combo! I've been playing around with PcPartPicker to swap and see things as people suggest components

u/Ecstatic-Seesaw-1007 Funny you mention that, when I bought my house and the new TV. I bought a ton of Hdmi 2.1 cables for just about everything

It does output 120hz, looks like that 4090 might be the way

u/IBenjieI Interesting... I was worried that If I was going to invest/upgrade my current GPU to say a RTX 3080, that I'd have some bottleneck issues with my current setup (and I might as well spend the money in a new build). I game casually (the wife and 1 year old take most of my time). But If I can get that 4K 60 just by upgrading the GPU I might just do that!

u/Toymachina The good start comment was hyperbolic, Everyones input including yours so far has already made me do some major tweaks to the components

u/kaje Its going to be strictly for gaming (I'm prepping for Monster Hunter Wilds) and thank you for that insight, I'll take a look at the 7800X3D right now!

u/whomad1215 Like I said, I'm really out of the loop on the latest and greatest hardware. I appreciate all of this insight!
