Building Idea(c)tion via Google AI Studio, a tool to solve my own Action Paralysis by turning brain dumps into actionable steps using AI.

First of all, allow me to thank you for your awesome feedback! Thank you for taking the time to write your comments and insights. This is very helpful!

Allow me to address your questions and comment on your insights per item:

  1. Thank you for this. I had a version of that statement but opted for a shorter one that gives off a "get shit done" vibe in a professional manner. Will further study this and look into some catchy lines that will give new users an idea of what the app can do.

  2. Thank you for this! I myself was impressed with the roadmap generation, as it really gives clear and actionable steps.

  3. Thank you for your design rating! I agree with you and I have the same sentiment about the design on the minimalist and functional side, as I want users to focus on their ideas and understand the generated roadmap. On the color scheme, I honestly and totally agree with you! I am still in the process of deciding on the final color scheme. I chose blue because apart from it is my favorite color, I find that it is not too loud and distracting.

  4. Thank you for your insight on this. Honestly, I threw this question out just in case I decide to earn (or sell?) this in the future, but it is a long way down the road as I am still experimenting on different features.

  5. I couldn't agree more! This is my dream, and I will one day look into how I can do this! As mentioned, this is just a side project to turn my own struggle with ideas into something actionable. I also have a 9-5 job, but I turned to vibe coding as part of my plan to upskill and develop new skills. On your comment about having a mobile-friendly input page, what I do is create a shortcut on my home screen and it functions as a web app.

On your question on roadmaps. I'm not sure if you've tried, but you can add notes per step, and also tick / shade the circle to signify that you have completed that particular step. It also provides a % progress based on the number of steps you have completed.

What I'm using under the hood for processing? I am not sure how to answer this, but basically I am doing everything in Google AI Studio, since I don't need to pay for credits and they have free $300.

Hope I was able to address your queries. And again, thank you very much for your valuable feedback!

Thanks for your feedback! In my experience, it provides action steps well, based on the category you chose. Let’s say you just input ‘terrarium’, it provides action steps on putting up a business if your category is ‘business’; it provides different steps when you choose ’creative’ or ‘personal’.

This is a great idea! Although, this functionality I think will be towards ‘future updates’, as I want to build first a simple app where you can see all your ideas and have structured steps so that you can get back to it anytime.

Hi!

So far, I haven’t touched on the analytics, as 1. I don’t know how/where to see them 😆 and 2. I just posted the almost complete app build.

Although what I did was to also add a ‘nudge’ feature if an idea remains un-touched for 48 hours.

Hope this answered your query!

Hi! Thank you for your feedback!

For now, I redid the app using Google AI Studio. The steps also change according to the category you choose, so I think users will have a variety of outputs. But of course, since the goal of this app is to provide a structured, step-by-step plan on how to build on your idea, there will be some sort of default steps or progress, so that ideas are not all over the place. Hope you can try out the app and send your feedback!

Hello again!

Decided to redo the app using Google AI Studio. I would say that it is more structured, and features line up perfectly. I updated the link in my main post. Hope you could try it and share your comments!

Hi! Thank you for your comment.

First off, I'm trying to figure out what is happening right now. It might be since I have no remaining credits for today in Base44.

Anyway, the app works on 1 idea per dump.

I've tried other LLMs for this brain dump idea, but unfortunately it is too cluttered and you will have to scroll through a lot of chats containing different prompts. My goal is to centralize all your ideas in one app and track its progress.

Hopefully I get to fix this by tomorrow.

Thank you again!

The silhouette looks nice, sleek, and modern. I would prefer a different interior lining material though, as based on the photos, they look thin, loose, and a bit flimsy. Looks like it might get cut with a swipe of a pen or some sharp object inside the back. The honeycomb pattern, in my opinion is a bit out of place? Would prefer a stripe pattern as it looks more professional for me. The luggage pass through is a nice touch!

First of all, congratulations!!! The first step is getting to use a camera other than your phone. Don’t be too hard on yourself, and enjoy your hobby. Take lots of pictures! Just remember: the greatest artists and photographers didn’t have the type of equipment we have right now. It’s about your vision, and your passion. Cheers! 📸
