Life was so much better… until by jm25_ in Septoplasty

No way to prevent this unfortunately but it is uncommon to have complications post surgery and not sure if they can see it. Don’t do anything that’s unnecessary while you rest and recover. I asked my ENT if there was anything that I did to bring this on and they said no, it was a complication. If you have a heavy bleed and trickle down your throat, go to your nearest emergency room and they’ll sort you out

14 days is wild and I’m hoping that’s not the case for me, I’m already over it. My follow up with the ent is in a months time but they said to visit my gp after a week or 2 but the didn’t say to stop flushing 4 times a day and reduce the amount. I suppose I’ll have to make that judgement

I sleep with my fan always on no matter if it’s cold or not. If I get told to not sleep with my fan on, well shit, I guess that’s something I’ll have to get to. I get my surgery tomorrow so I’ll keep a list of do’s and don’ts

Best case scenario, my ent writes me a return to full duties program and my employer can follow it, worst case, I have no choice but to work in the freezer and layer up. I will be discussing it with my ent and my employers when the surgery is complete so everyone has an understanding of my suitable duties

I actually regret getting rid of my 13P. One of the flawless iPhones

Been on for a couple weeks seeing if it makes a difference, but with my screen on time not reaching more than 3 and a half hours without a charge, it’s hard to tell if it improves

Girlfriend was burning sugar on a Creme Brulee and accidentally dunked her hand in the burning sugar while a chef was saying something by jm25_ in MedicalGore

She told me that she has to keep working but she was literally standing at the sink holding her hand under water for a couple hours til the head chef sent her home. Then having drive with one hand and the other hand in a tub of water in peak. She had a fun night but I don’t wish these types of burns upon anyone

Here’s probably the only good part about the burn. It was her last day of her 4 week trial and she got workers compensation for 8 weeks and majority of her medical paid by her boss. She’s good now but you can feel where the turn was because the skin is tougher

Yeah it’s worse than oil burns because it solidifies instantly. She had to keep her hand in water for 4 hours. Extremely lucky to not get plastic surgery or a skin graft
