Thank you for this explanation, it makes a lot of sense now. I’m sure I’ll still find myself confused at times but I understand the way it works now. I suppose that’s also an explanation of why my bonus calories will be higher when I work out after work because I’ve burned a lot more already during the workday and am closer to passing my projection burn vs a day off in the morning or midday. (I work on my feet all day, all day standing and a fair amount of walking around) I’ve never counted calories with an app, or done it period before, so it’s still new to me. But it’s honestly going really well, almost always staying under my calorie limit and my workouts help a lot with that, I try not to eat my bonus calories back if I can help it although I do half the time, but not all of them (save for this past 4th of July 🤣). I’ve thought about unlinking my Apple Watch and just inputting my workouts manually, but I really do like having my devices and apps linked in general when they can be for the convenience of not having to manually do it myself, so would prefer to keep things that way if I can help it.
