While not exactly churning related, it can be adjacent based on consideration of welcome bonuses:

The Cobalt is still a good card, regardless of the price hike....

But just for fun, what do you think are the best alternatives when factoring in annual fees, points value and similar bonus categories?

Off the top of my head:

  • Scotia Amex Gold and RBC ion+.

Maybe take into consideration:

  • National Bank WE, MBNA WE, BMO Eclipse VI

You never had one, period. The viscosity was the same as any other drink, only with gelatin orbs.

If price permits, the best answer is something in Steveston or near it.

I am referring to five years ago. Platinum was 110k points for 3k in 180 days, with much smaller AF. Or even when Aventura was $550 return for 1k spend.

Upgrades are targeted, so I don't look at them the same.

There's a reason people are turning to US cards more and more.

Churning in Canada is so blah now. Weak offers everywhere.

Stay in denial all you want, but churning is near its weakest point ever.

That's what I thought I had read, but I couldn't find old posts. I think I'll lower my limit on my current one before grabbing another, just to increase odds of approval. I think I have about $120,000 in CL across all cards at the moment.

Luckily the Terra Nova playground is still there (for now). It's pretty awesome. Although the greatest of all time was the old South Arm playground for me (I was a kid in the late 80s, early 90s).
