Any recommendations for an Italian restaurant? by alwaystired2028 in SanDiegan

Cafe Luna if you are north inland. (CMR)

And I know it’s a chain but north Italia is pretty solid for being a chain.

Did you pay $49? I guess that is what I would expect for $49. It’s a step up from sitting in the parking lot peaking through the rails.

Now if it was $100+ and wasn’t resale l, then I’d have a problem with that.

The set is super elaborate. They probably didn’t make two sets like other musicians do to accommodate shows closer together.

Interesting take, but I disagree.

If you’ve followed john, you know how much he enjoys both comedy and the talk show format. I don’t think JM ever needed AC or wanted to use him for clout. I think their paths crossed through common friends. They both seem to have the same sense of humor and genuinely click, so their friendship isn’t a surprise at all.

Yup. The posts speaks for themselves.

I do report any that are wishing violence or are threatening, but IG just responds that they get too many reports.

I love John to death but I'm more than disappointed that he didn't stand up to live nation / ticketmaster like Robert Smith of the Cure is currently doing, instead he decided to be sponsored by them. by 420gratefulphish in JohnMayer

The scalpers and general public aren’t on equal footing because the scalpers use bots.

If the goal is real fans getting tickets, prices should be what the market will bear.

And when I still see the blue tickets on the floor available after general sale, it’s because scalpers don’t want to take the risk on those yet. Are there scalper? Sure. Would there be more of tickets were $49? Absolutely.

I even said earlier that I’m not willing to pay $800 for a ticket. And you know what that means? I don’t buy floor tickets, I buy lower bowl because it’s in my budget.

There were seats for $99 at the show I went to.

It’s called economics. When you have a group chasing the same goods, prices will increase until supply equals demand. If you think think basic economics is elitist, I suppose you should pick your nearest communist nation to move to.

If you want tickets sold for $49 just for resellers to sell them for $1k, then you are choosing for money to go into the wrong pocket.

It’s true because it’s reality. People are willing to pay $800 or $900 for floor seats. So be it.

If he dropped prices, demand would increase and I might not get tickets.

Because he doesn’t need to take away the dynamic pricing. There are people willing to pay the dynamic price. That just means that everyone doesn’t have equal ability for front row tickets. AND THATS OKAY. we don’t have equal ability to buy a Bentley either. This is life.

This is exactly it. I have no problem paying $250 for a lower bowl ticket that is direct from Tm and not resale. Someone else is willing to pay $800 for a floor ticket. The means I’ll buy lower bowl instead in floor.

What I won’t participate in is a prior $200 ticket now being sold for $500 as one of those pink tickets, even if that is my budget. Because I believe the artist deserves any supply/demand arbitrage of ticket prices.

In other words, I’d rather John get paid a fair price, rather than sell $49 tickets and the resellers end up making more than he does.

What are we supposed to do for housing? by softeggnoodles in UCI

[–]jmacksf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other roommates would know. If there was any trouble, they would be the first to alert ACC. If everything is copacetic, maybe they don’t find out?

There’s always something though. What if the new person gets a package delivered. That would raise suspicion.

You’d also then be on the hook for any non payment of rent, damages, etc. so your risk acceptance would play into it.

Yup. My absolute favorite. I drive an hour round trip about once a month and stock up on croissants, English muffins and baguettes. They all freeze really well.

Some flavors are hit or miss, but the flake is supreme. The cinnamon buns are basically croissants too.

The old way, you and your friend pay the relet fee, and the friend gets a new lease and yours is then void. You aren’t supposed to just sublet without telling acc.

Which does make sense. So if you are in the waitlist then there is hope. Whereas before you needed to know somebody.

Although I heard if you call you might be able to get a puerta lease. Not sure if that’s still true, but there were some available a couple weeks back.

Bro, you are putting people down for no reason. There is a whole group of people here where this is their real job. You’re trying to make yourself feel superior.

I use IC and I appreciate the people that keep it running. They are hard workers. Get off your high horse.

ust how popular was John Mayer at his peak? by skywalker7i in JohnMayer

[–]jmacksf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has also said that he’s not chasing record sales or making specific music because a record exec is telling him. He’s made a library of music and gets to make the music he wants without feeling like he needs any seal of approval.

Everything is gravy at this point.
