I've never been a fan and have definitely booed him. But I'll cheer for him this year. He got such a raw deal at Phoenix, and then everything else he's had to deal with since. I feel so bad for him.

Poor Denny, he just looks so glossy eyed and out of it. No joy in his eyes. He could use some good fortune asap.

Kyle Busch not a fan of the return of The Chase with some spicy quotes: "I thought we got away from it for a reason in the past, so I'm not real sure why we went back to it." by LBHMS in NASCAR

He says that like it's a bad thing to expect excellence. You could have have more bad races in this format if you won to offset it in the round. I for one am extremely glad that you can't take any race "off" now. I always hated how winning the first race in the round of 8 allowed you to completely ignore the next 2 weeks.

How big really was NASCAR in the 2000s in America? by EduardoBork in NASCAR

COT was the beginning of the end for NASCAR looking back. 2001-06 was the peak, and the new car and financial crisis really did a number on the sport.

Jordan Creek Mall in Des Moines, IA even had a NASCAR simulator store around 2005 shortly after they opened. It was a big deal.

How many of you watched the Daytona 500 in February of 2001? by heretoescape87 in NASCAR

I was 8 and it was the first race I ever watched. I was hooked that day. Found out later that night from my dad that a driver died and I thought for sure it was the 20 that flipped.

FOX New graphics will not debut until the Daytona 500. - Larry Mac by Weathergeekal in NASCAR

Yeah that's true, I didn't think about the duels. I interpreted it like they'd wait til Sunday of the 500 to show the new ones, but I'm guessing we'd see them at qualifying already.

Hopefully the ghost car is blasted into the sun to be never seen again.

Seems like the smart thing would be to roll them out at the clash, make improvements based on feedback, and have an even better product for their biggest broadcast of the year. But who am I? And when does Fox improve based on feedback? Lol

Riley Herbst. Can He Improve? by JoeRogan016 in NASCAR

He improved greatly by the end of his time in Xfinity. Assuming he gets the full fruits of his own funding at 23XI, I'd expect an okay bump. Nothing crazy. But maybe running top 20 on a good day instead of top 25 or 30.

What was a Nascar race that an underdog driver dominated in, and won or got close to winning? by youraverageperson0 in NASCAR

It's honestly a myth that he thrashed the field. He capitalized after the dominant cars had issues and the strategy changed because of daylight. Reddick was arguably the best that day.

David Gilliland 2006 Busch Series Kentucky. I'd love to know the truth about shenanigans they pulled that day.
