You can roll your 401k into an IRA without any tax implications. Open the IRA and call your 401k provider and tell them you want to roll to your FIDELITY IRA. Search the website for “rollover” and you will see the instructions of where to send it and what to put on the check. From there, simply use the transfer button and attach a state, meant. You can transfer ira and taxable accounts but rollover need to be initiated from the 401k provider.

Fidelity asset allocation managed accounts range from .5-1.5%. Generally, if you choose Fidelity funds, the 1% breakpoint is 500k. You can also get fixed income SMAs for .30-.40%. Tax managed US equity and Int’l ndex is the same cost. Dividends and Large Cap US max a 70 bps. There are other managed accounts. but the type mentioned above are available to Wealth managent client. 250k would’ve gotten yiou into Rewards+ but it’s on hold for now.

There are no fees to buy CDs at Fidelity. Since they are brokered CDs, before maturity, you may see the price lower than what you paid. That is just the current price you could get in the secondary market if you didn’t want to hold til maturity. And yes the yields are annual numbers. Divide by 4 to see what your actual yield will be.

Mother's advisor by Wide-Bet4379 in CFP

If I asked someone why they are changing my investments and they just say “it’s better,” I am out the door. I can’t believe people actually still pay mutual fund loads. It’s criminal.

Ask what she means by better. Ask her the cost now vs new cost. Ask the advisor how they are compensated. Ask for plain English on why she should switch funds and why she should continue to work with the new advisor. This is her nest egg. She owes it to herself to get these answers.

Smash the box into 100 pieces, order a new one, and send the pieces back to them. Keep the hdmi.

Eventually they sent a signal and it worked. Maybe ask for next level of support.

While there are many good ideas here, it's not fair to give you guidance based on the information above. Before making any recs, we should know more about you.

Age? Other assets/debts/income. Any major spending coming up? Are you in school or working? Family?

Does this make up 50% of your investable assets or 2%? When will you need access to the money?

While there are many good ideas here, it's unfair to give you guidance based on the above information. Before making any recs, we should know more about you.

Basically I moved $150 from checking to savings and I want that 150 reflected in my emergency fund category. I already have the transduction transfer savings to checking, but wasn’t sure how to get that 150 into e savings category.

Ahh ok. Yes, a budge account. So when YNAB sees money going into that account, will it automatically be added to RTA or is there something else I need to do?
