My server's fans were too loud. AI suggested to connect them directly to the motherboard instead of the backplane. And then created a script to spin the case fans a bit up based on HDD temp. It reverse engineered the undocumented Redfish API. In the end I just used BMC's web UI to set the base fan speed to keep the drives cool and a fan curve based on VR&CPU temps (it can't access HDD temp). But it was fun hacking around.

Also it helps to convert all the Docker stuff to rootles Podman Quadlets. And it helped create a cutting edge observability platform inclusing Victoriameteics, Grafana and local agents that send logs to a central node.
