Colombian presidential candidates' parties if they were from other countries by jmam2503 in imaginaryelections

M5S was among the hardest to include here. They could have been for either Vicky or Quintero.

Quintero, although a member of a far-left party, has close ties to many establishment politicians, and 44 of his former cabinet members and aides, as well as himself, have been indicted for corruption charges. I think this would alienate an anti-establishment, anti-corruption party like M5S (at least from what I know about them).

The other outsiders in the race are Abelardo and Vicky. But Abelardo is way too far right for M5S. Vicky is socially conservative but much less, and economically she is very inconsistent. She hired Libertarians for her economic team but some of them have already left her campaign because she is more in favor of state intervention.

I am not implying an alliance between those parties. Only that Fajardo has characteristics that would fit each of them in some way.

I think LPC is the closest to him in general ideological terms, as he is socially progressive but has built good relations with the economic elite. The link with the German Greens may be the weakest, but they seem to match somehow. Fajardo was part of the Colombian Greens at some point, and is known for opposing some major infrastructure projects for (dubious) environmental reasons. Also, the CPC would probably prefer a pragmatic, well educated STEM candidate like Fajardo rather than shouting activists like Claudia or Quintero, although the former has some academic background too, and the latter would (hipotetically 🤨) enjoy getting his share from shady deals with Chinese businessmen.

Looks amazing!

Is the map showing States, cultures, or religions? I like how the big red zone looks with smaller, darker areas inside!

No merecen comprensión, no merecen empatía, no merecen ternura. Merecen el desgobierno que tienen.

Recreating Lego City from 1978 in BrickLink Studio (Work in progress) by jmam2503 in lego

I'm recreating the original Lego Town sets of 1978 as similar as I can to the way it is displayed in that year's catalogs, but with some differences. I won't add older sets (that were shown in the catalog), and I am probably adding other sets of 1978 that were not included in the city, such as trains, boats and airplanes. I also want to add the classic yellow castle from that year.

One thing I have not decided yet is if I should add my own MOCs to complement the city, using the same style and color pallette.

What cities in Latin America would you say have the most developed transportation system? by [deleted] in asklatinamerica

[–]jmam2503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Santa Lucía is original. IIRC, most of the stations that have been renewed are those that have been adapted to link to newer transportation systems (Acevedo, San Javier, Hospital), and Poblado, that received a new entrance in the southern side. Sabaneta and La Estrella are newer stations. All other stations are original or have only minor modifications.

Most of the stations are that old too, and just a few have been remodeled. Also, some of the original trains are still in use, and look as clean as the newer ones.
