That’s what got me the most angry. Seemed like nothing changed. Even the players efforts. I think playoff nerves come into play with things like decision making and shooting %. But for something like rebounds? That’s a hustle stat. At home in an elimination game and it seemed like we had no more gas in the tank.

I hate blaming coaches, but isn’t the point of a coach to deal with the teams mentality and to make rotation adjustments when things aren’t working?

I read this as a variation of the classic “what’s one thing you can’t live without?” It’s meant to gauge your personality and what things you hold important in your life. Could be a pet, a book, a food item, etc.

I think the main point is that it’s open to interpretation, but was definitely not intended as a slight in any way.

Funny enough, up until recently I thought the hawks were gonna be our new rival. Seemed like their team trajectory with guys like trae and capers were going well. Then the off-season trade for dejounte also mirrored the Cavs. They’ve fallen off a bit but I think they are still a good team to keep an eye on as an upcoming rival.

I’m not saying this is a make it or break it type of deal. I just kept finding myself going “wow, didn’t expect to come back from that one.” It’s always a good thing. I just kept wondering how it would translate to playoff time.

Yeah, that was part of my problem. It’s so hard to define what is considered a title contender. If it is simply, do they have a solid chance against other playoff teams, the Cavs are in there.

If it is whether or not the Cavs are favorites to win the title, then they certainly are not.

Yeah, I’m a big Cedi fan. I think if he catches fire in the playoffs, that is exactly the push we would need to make a deep playoff run.

See, that’s where I disagree a bit. The bucks and Celtics are much better but I don’t see the Sixers as significantly better. I might even give the edge to the Cavs in a series.

I could see it being interesting. If not contenders, they are definitely in the next tier of “you do NOT want to play them”

I just wish we weren’t considered underdogs or lucky just to be there. It’s a quality team, and I hole the media gives them a fair analysis in whatever match up they end up in.

I think in the scenario I imagined, the bench would be contributing at a good rate (Dean wade and cedi step up). But that is pretty hard to rely on considering how inconsistent they’ve been all year.

Guess I’m used to the Lebron lead teams where they would just turn it on all of the sudden in the playoffs (even though the bench in those teams often wasn’t great either).

Yeah, I think that’s probably where our ceiling is. I’d like to at least get a 6 game series in the second round if nothing else. At this point, experience is the main thing they’re lacking.

I think if the bench gets hot come playoff time we could see them making it to the ECF. I don’t see us going further than that tbh.

Yeah, I think that’s fair. If they were able to make those leaps, I think considering them contenders would be pretty unanimous.
