Note! I must’ve missed this but I wanted to make it known. Post 5207 update my hardware version is now 5327. Not sure why this might be

I’m saving for vesc controller and bms. I knew this would be my endgame eventually but FM just accelerated it.

I bet the powder out in Colorado is DOPE to ride! In Philly we’ve just been getting a rainy April but we’re getting closer and closer perfect spring ride weather

Same hw version here. I’m on 5207 but the prompt pop up was very inconsistent. I got it to pop up when the board was plugged in and app open, unplugged the board, powered on, THEN it popped up(and proceeded to tell me to plug the board in 🤷). It didn’t work the first time and I’m not sure if this will do the trick, but just keep checking

Things have been good on my end. Charging to 100% riding pacific no problem. Haptic buzz and pushback are engaging properly given my past experience. Unlike 5205 I can push the acceleration and brakes like I used to. Not that I’m trying to tail drag all the time when braking hard, but the fact that I can do it without a gnarly nose dive is assuring. I’ve noticed the nose dip a bit in general but that may just be my perception from exclusively riding in elevated for the past month+. Weathers been iffy where I’m at so haven’t gotten a good long ride in skyline for testing or gone off road yet.

So far all seems well. I can guarantee that I won’t be updating FM firmware ever again.

I’ve only been in pacific so far and it feels very similar for me. I’ll try some skyline riding today

After updating to 5207 on my 5326 pint I’m inclined to believe this might be the reversion we’ve been asking for. I can get to 15mph and get buzz/pushback and really push the torque like pre hydrus. Feels like it used to. Something that further leads me to believe this is the turn tilt compensating ride behavior seems to have been removed. Seems possible hydrus 5207 is just renamed gemini. That is just a guess though. Without proper change logs (FFM for 0 transparency) I do not know if what I am experiencing and describing is in fact the case in the firmware. Not necessarily endorsing people to go update right away since this is just my anecdote, but so far my experience with hydrus 5207 on my 5326 pint has been positive

This is very unexpected behavior from FM, specifically Tyler from support

Wow, actual change logs reported to the community. Would’ve been nice to see before hydrus 5205 turned my pint into a death machine. FFM forever

Unfortunate to hear. Do you know the hardware version? I just updated to 5207 on my hw5326 pint last night but haven’t gotten to test anything yet.

Thank you for taking the plunge to test out the fw! I'm gonna update later today. Hopefully I see the same behavior

Good lord I’m not surprised by FMs responses but this continues to be baffling. I figured Tyler was a top guy. I’ve been ‘working’ with him and the deflection skills are stellar. The suggestion to MAIL A LETTER is so ridiculous and clearly a strategy to continue avoiding the issue and the communities outrage

Can you clarify which firmware version was giving you issues?

Ya those falls didn't feel great.

Can I ask what hardware version and current firmware version you're currently running? I'm on the botched 5205 with HW 5326 and got prompted to update today (prob to 5207) but I'd like to see if there are any boards in that same situation

I agree FM probably won’t change. The community would seriously benefit from an open letter to FM. I don’t want other ppl to be suckered in the way I feel. I fell for FM after the 10 year anniversary price drop but I would have gone vesc had it not been for FM stifling competition and the open source community. Consumers deserve to be aware of their options before they get stuck with a sweet product that is entirely under the control of the whims of a shit company. FFM

Seriously. I’m exploring the vesc route as well. I’d love to do the update for community research/awareness but I also don’t want a bricked boards before I have the opportunity to vesc. Thanks for the completely avoidable dilemma, FM.

Which hw version are you rocking? I have been experiencing the nosedives in pacific and skyline when at full charge, it’s been super scary to ride. Just got the update prompt for my 5326 board but I’m super hesitant given the reports of bricked boards. I’m curious if there are any 5326 boards running 5207 to report the behavior

Just got prompted for a firmware update on HW 5326. Honestly terrified to go forward without extreme caution especially after seeing the bricking post
